i like this girl... she is an exchange student here in america to study.....

I believe i have feelings for this person but im not sure if it would be a good idea to pursue it.....because she will have to return to her own country in 3 years and less....

the problem is that i dont want her to be distracted by me.. she came here to study and i might bother her....

what should i do??

I was in a similar situation 4 years ago, except that it was I that was the exchange student.

I considered the practical sides of a relationship, and decided that though i really and truly liked the guy, pursuing something would not be an option, since we were really young and insecure about our real selves and feelings.

Age and mental maturity would play a large part in your decisions.

Rationale over emotion? Or Emotion over Rationale?

Good luck.

You can ask her, maybe for friendship only.... But please don't distract her studies since it could be her only chance to get
a better education from this country, knowing how hard it was
when selected as an exchange student.

well studying isnt going to be the only thing on her mind and trust me it will be stressful so you should ask her if she would like to go out to relieve some stress or just have a good time she may also be interested in you but you didnt say if you communicated with her or not so i dont have that much to go on you all relationship as far as friend wise

it is nice that you are concerned that you will distract her. but i think that you should ask her out. but don't be over bearing, if she wants to date you that's great, but i think that you need to make sure that your not taking her away from what she need to do while she is here. so, taking her out once a week, is fine. and calling her every other day would be OK as well. so, what are you waiting for??
