In distillation, water is heated until it turns into steam; the steam is collected and condensed back into liquid, leaving behind virtually all contaminants. It's used when water purity is necessary or desired. Not really recommended for daily drinking, but it won't hurt you either.

Yup.I agree with the previous answer. Distilled water does not have any mineral and free from microorganisms. Mineral water is the best for drinking.

There is a difference between Distilled water and drinking water. Distilled water is pure water that have been used in batteries. We drink mineral water that contains some chemical compounds which is essential for normal health. We do not drink distilled water. Normally, lead-acid battery uses Distilled water. Using Mineral water in the battery will spoil your battery.

Drinking every time with distilled water will not provide the chemical compounds that are essential for your normal health. Drinking distilled water every time will spoil your health.

I think distilled water was purified water done mechanically; and it's usually advisable for people who have stomach problems because... maybe they don't have other chemicals in them or whatever like that compared with mineral, spring, etc... ;)

its is water that has had all other elements removed from it so it is purely H20.

drinking it is not necessarily bad for your health, as the body needs plenty of H20 to maintain its proper osmolarity, but it can be a problem if you do not eat a balanced diet, and thus you have low intake of ions etc also essential for osmolarity. also it tastes pretty bland.

the reason people drink gatorade when they've been sweating a lot is because gatorade has plenty of ions and water in it, and we sweat out both, but the water cannot move into our system without the accompanying ions.
