There is the girl at Uni i have liked for over 8 months, but i have stayed back because of a boyfriend. There is going to be a 4 month break where i wont see her.
i want to tell her i am interested incase anything happens between them in break.
If i say - "If you didn't have a boyfriend and i asked you out, would you have said yes? "
she is a semi friend, and we do get on very well.
im planning on saying this tomorrow as we are getting to our cars, less people around and where we usually stand and talk anyways, im just reallly nervous. was even thinking of saying this after it, as im walking away "oh btw, you looked great on friday, one sexy (her name), but i guess i should of told you then, catch ya" (she did look great and totally different than what she usually wears.
how would you react if someone said all this to you? , mainly just the first bit tho

i would find it sooo romantic!!!! at least u got some balls and can tell her ur feelings man!! even if i did have a bf id still think its cool that id have other options in case somethin does happen especially if its from a good friend of mine, just go for it!!!!

First thing first. Eight months is long enough for you to find out whether she and her boyfriend have been getting on very well
together.
If they have,whats the point of you go breaking your own heart like that coz obviously,she would give you the red light.
If they have, yet she gives you the green light then you know shes not the one - why?? if shes gona cheat on her man with you,she will definitely cheat on you with another man ;)
If they havent,why dont you hit her with a sign or two but not the extreme ones. Good luck!
As for the praises,hey,we ladies never say no to praises.

Nice question and it will flatter her to know you care but she may not feel the same. Letting her know this will help your case only if she and her boyfriend are not getting along.
The other thing. Just say "You looked great on Friday!"
DON"T add the part about .... I should have told you then.....

I'd say let it go for now, don't come between an existing relationship.
There's gonna be a 4 month break... what if YOU meet someone in the meantime? Try not to be hung up on someone who is not available.

leave out the word sexy, you can tell her that she looked great. and don't say if you did not have a boyfriend i would ask you out. just say to her her name i just want you to know that i like you a great deal and if you and this guy don't work out, i would really like it if you would consider going out with me. you can also tell her that you will miss her and be thinking about her while she is gone. a hug wouldn't hurt either.
