Are you aware that more Jews live in Iran than in any other Middle Eastern country outside Israel? Not answering your question I know, but it's an interesting fact because they must be living there peaceably otherwise it would be common knowlege! Here's an extract from the website below: Khomeini didn't mix up our community with Israel and Zionism - he saw us as Iranians," says Haroun Yashyaei, a film producer and chairman of the Central Jewish Community in Iran. Like Iran's Armenian Christians, Jews are tolerated as "people of the book" and allowed to practice their religion freely, provided they do not proselytize.' It's just an illustration of how well Muslims and Jews can live side by side, if they have the will and the opportunity to do so. Oh! and by the way, I think your final statement is open to debate!

Iran is not the only country who wants to wipe out Israel. All other Muslim countries have said repeatedly they want to push the Jews INTO THE SEA.
And yes, Israel is still trying to NEGOTIATE with the people who want it gone, in the hope that one day there may be peace....
And why is it that the 200 million Arabs are unhappy with all the land and the resources they have? How come they are all after a piece of land smaller than Rhode-Island, with no natural resources, which is inhabited by 5 million Jews?

If is the biggest word in the English language/ If there was no Hizballah there would be and are other nasty groups that want to wipe the Jews out. Look at a map and see little tiny Israel surrounded with enemies on all sides. I hope there will be peace, but how can this be when Israel has agreed to a Lebanese cease fire and bigger and more powerful weapons are coming into Lebanon by Syria.

Hezbollah wasn't defeated. They had a lot of damage done to them, but they actually claim victory in the last conflict with Israel. Hezbollah is not only a terrorist group, but is actually a faction of the government of Lebanon, although they are supported, in large, by Iran and Syria. Iran wants to get rid of Israel completely. To understand the conflict between Israel and the Arab nations, you'd have tio go way back in time. The current situation, however, is resultant because of a tit-for-tat type of attitude prevalent in the Middle East. The reasons are way too long for this forum. But it is sad that two peoples so closely related cannot get along.

Israel may want peace (maybe) but it's a pretty unrealistic expectation to simply set up country on someone else's land (Palestine) and expect them to like it. And their justification seems to boil down to the notion that God stood on a hill in Jerusalem and created the world in six days. It's barmy! And let us not forget the the Israeli settler (?) movement are happily accepting massive support from a lunatic fringe of US Christians who actually WANT to precipiate the End of Days in order to bring about the second coming of their messiah! There's nothing peaceful about wanting to bring about Armageddon or collaborating with those that do. Let's also realise that Israel is, in effect, a massive American strategic nuclear missle base postioned to threaten the Peraisn Gulf and its surrounding oil feilds, including Iran. The Iranians are just backing up their Palestinian and Lebanese neighbours. If Israel had been set up in, say, Engalnd in 1946 perhaps the native English, after living for a whole generation in refugee camps and being treated like second class citizens, would hope the French and Spanish would help to get rid of it. Perhaps it would have been a far better karmic balance for Israel to have been set up in Germany!

I suspect that the Persians mostly do want peace. (BtW I use the term Persians to mean the normal man/woman in the street who never wanted the superstitious revolution that forced most of them into a miserable life of living a lie).

It's that maniac who leads them who is sick enough to still approve of genocide. Sooner or later, the people will revolt against his stupidity (and the zealots who support the regime) and they'll find themselves outcasts with a price on their heads.

There's always hope though. Look how Hitler saved the situation by shooting himself. I doubt that old Aminoacid has got the guts though. Talking, and using turbanned terror squads is far safer.

Isn't its obvious that Islam don need hezbulla to wipe out Israel. Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries. We can do that if we want to long time ago.

The Muslims is the 1st to build multi races and multi believes in Jerusalem which whom the christians abused and sent crusades to invade Jerusalem. Muslim took it back but taken over again. Muslim regime got sick and tired of fighting causing much death to both sides and change their focus to mecca just letting whatever the non-believer want as long no more death and tears. Thus mecca became the holiest place in the muslim world. NO more non believers is ALLOWED in that sacred site. . This is history.

PS: Im not surprise if the non-believer wants mecca from us But If that were to happens DOOMs Day is very near!!!!!!!

Iran is playing ''big man in the area''. They like making alot of noise. If really faced with having to fight anyone, they would back down. After all, no other Mid-east country is behind them, except Syria. Iran does not want the West, as well as all the Mid-east countries, to declare war on it.

Iran is trying to prove to it's Islamic neighbours that it can be 'the king of the castle'.
Let them kill each other like they are doing in Iraq.
If Israel is attacked do you think the USA will just sit and watch.

Well, then Israel should give peas a chance. I am all in favor of whirled peas. They are just yummy.
But for the nonce, I suspect that peas will have to wait, since the Israelis are too busy making wear, or is that wart?
Shoot, you pudding-headed foreigners should learn to spell. And if you are going to spout arrant nonsense, at least bother to do so with grammatically correct English.
