How does one get their name written in the Book of Life, and when? The Bible says if your name isn't in it, then you will be thrown into the Lake of Fire.

I'm an Agnostic so both the book of life and God are both unknowns with no concrete evidence either for or against their existence. I'll find out after death and I'm content with that and living for my fellow human beings and not something which could be years down the road.

Yes, My name is in the book of life, You ask how do we get our name into the book of life, give your heart to Jesus, Let me also say, if you do or did give your heart to Jesus, don't think that is when your name was put into the Book of Life, It was put there before the foundation of the world, why, Because God knew what every person would do when it came to their life time, since God knew what each decision everyone was going to make, He could & did therefore put our name in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world, when we give our heart to God, that is just fulfilling our part in reconising, that our name was there, It is not put there when you give your heart to God,

The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the light, and that no one comes to the Father excepth through him, and that whoever will believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life...so if you accept and believe in Jesus, your name might as well be in the Book of Life....I know my name's listed there..... :>

I think what you say is the ranting of a Bible thumper.

One never knows if their name is in the Book of Life. It is written yearly at Yom Kippur. We only hope that it is-----for the coming year.

As long as you believe that Jesus came to the earth and died for our sins, then you are forgiven and you will go to heaven. This is the only way to get into heaven. There is one specific verse that tells us this.

John 3:16 - Show Context
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Your name is written when you repent, get baptized in Jesus' Name, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
