This is probably not a realistic thing for you to want to do. Yes it would be easy to lose the ten pounds in a month but for it to be healthy you should take about a year or more to lose that much weight. The feeling of necessity to lose weight fast is what really gets people in trouble and is often the cause of them getting to be quite fat. This event can be very depressing too. I reccomend you change you plan to losing two pounds by then instead, but you could be looking much better then you would of if you lost ten. Honestly just eat the foods that i am sure you know to be healthy and probably drink more water, and eat really small meals throughout the day, maybe 8 meals in a day, a meal can be a banana. Drink water when your hungry and you will find it is often enough. Also, it is good for the body to be cleansed about once a month when you eat less for one day but drink about 4-5 liters in the day. This would be a good thing to do at the start of you diet.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout to use as well.

What I did was to go on a Slim-fast diet, which I stuck to exactly as said on the directions. I lost 15 pounds in a month. I had a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, sometimes a shake also for a snack, and a simple healthy meal for dinner. (On occasion when I felt hungry in the afternoon, I ate one sandwich, sometimes a BLT, cheese sandwich, or a piece of fruit) I did a half an hour of aerobics in the morning from off the tv, and after dinner, I walked. Walking after a meal makes your digestion run faster, and keeping your stomach muscles sucked in as your walk tightens your abdominals. It works, try it. By the way, I didn't starve! LOL Once you get in the habit of the excersise and going to a regular diet, and off the Slim-fast you will keep the weight off. Good luck to you.

Here's all the help you'll need...
Losing weight really is as simple as basic addition and subtraction. If the calories you eat add up to more than what you burn in a given time period, you will gain weight. Conversely, if you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight. Depending on your size and activity level, the number of calories will vary quite a bit. The secret is finding your “break even” calorie intake level. For most people, the “ball park” figure will be around 1500 to 2000 calories per day. If you are larger than average, this number will be higher, lower if you are smaller than average. Metabolic rate can have an effect on these numbers as well. Exercise plays an important role also, as this can increase the number of calories you burn by quite a bit as well as increasing your metabolic rate.
If you want a generally healthy diet that’s easy to follow and avoids hunger, the one I recommend will do the job very well. You can fill up and still lose weight. Eat lots of fresh vegetables as they contain very few calories yet are full of good nutrition. The less you cook them, the more nutrition they retain. Stick with whole grains, as they tend to be better for you and don’t turn to sugar as readily as processed grains do. For example, whole grain bread is much better for you than plain white bread. Eat a variety of fruit on a daily basis. Avoid empty carbs, fats, and sugars…. Examples: junk food and soda. If you feel you need protein to build muscle, add some chicken or fish to your diet. Avoid beef and dairy products, the cons outweigh the pros.
If you can’t get your mind into the ‘eat to live; don’t live to eat’ mode, you should probably read this short article on the psychology behind overeating:

I limited allot of fattening foods, I applied the portion control method and did my best not eating anything past 8pm. If I got hungry I drank a whole bunch of water. If that didn't work I took an appetite suppressant. Not eating late helped allot. Not to mention ton's of exercise. That's definitely the key! I would work out 5 times a week. Heavy on the cardio, and of course the strength training, Mostly cardio. A combination of all of this worked for me.

It's unsafe to rush to try to lose weight, but you should loose about 1-2 lbs a week. Exercise, and eat lower calorie foods, don't eat after 6 pm at night. Drink water

Keeping it off, and dropping it quickly are 2 very different things.
If you want to drop it quickly, from fat, you won't do it. If you do somehow manage to drop it, you'll make yourself very very ill, and will feel like crap for a month.
If you just need to lose 10lbs from anything, you could cut waterweight and drop down to a very very low calorie intake, but even then 10lbs isn't healthy. Losing water is liable to make you feel very very ill, since you'll get very dehydrated.
To lose weight permanantly, you need to decrease your calorie and fat intake, and increase your exercise and calorie expenditure levels.

if u need to lose that in that much amount of time, you need to exercise more- cardio for about an hour and a half every day.
also, for a month, just don't eat junk food or oily/sweet/chocolatey stuff. also avoid rice and pasta. they bloat up ur belly with gas. after a month, it's your take.

Go on a protein diet. But, remember, you must exercise during that time. Also, once you are off the protein diet, you must continue to exercise as not to gain back the weight when you go back to your old eating habits. Hopefully by then you would have adopted new eating habits by eating more heathier.
