In 1600 Father giordano Bruno was executed by the Catholic Church as a Heretic.
Among his various heresies was support of the Copernican model which said that the Earth was not the center of the Universe and that the Earth revolved around the Sun,rather than the other way around as the Church taught.

He also taught the theory that stars were simply other Suns which could also have planets around them, and those planets could have life,in other words he was one of the earliest proponents of extraterrestrial life. He was not necessarily the first to propose these ideas but he helped advance the ideas better than most, and he was one of the first to stand up for his ideas upto death. At his trial he said "Perhaps you,my Judges, pronounce this sentence with greater fear than I receive it" when sentenced to death. Obviously much of what he's taught has already been proven,so if a UFO landed today confirming the rest, would the chuch apologize to him and others like him they killed??

the church should be held accountable for every person put on trial and murdered for there beliefs and ideas, they should pay compensation to the decedents alive today ,if these people had of lived there would be no church today ,that implies that the only reason the church has survived and brainwashed millions of people is because they silence the ones who would give the world true knowledge, the church owes there existence to the murder of these innocent victims

We are having trouble getting the church to address it's pedophile priest because of legal repercussions so I would doubt that they would apologize. I personally do not believe in Alien Life but if a UFO landed I would say "Whoops, I had that one wrong." I'm not sure why people overreact to things.

May GOD richly bless you.

Of course they wouldn't apologize. They would find a way to make it sent by God. So far in history when has religion ever admitted to a wrong? Even in the scandal with priests and child abuse they haven't actually come out and admitted wrongdoing.

None of them would.
the Catholics sure wouldn't because they are the ones who did it, but it was not the modern church, but the church of the Dark Ages, so they don't think they are responsible.

All the Protestants and other Christian beliefs don't they they are responsible because it was the Catholics who did this.

Good question. And the answer is - probably. They like to kill first and ask questions later. Kind of a running theme among those in power.

It takes a lot for the church to apoligize for it's murders and killings. I doubt they would do it.
