Euthanasia is illegal. I think everyone should have advance directives in order such as a Living Will and Durable Power of Attorney. A "do not resuscitate" order for terminally ill persons is a matter of choice. However, to euthanize is setting a dangerous precedent. Who shall be euthanized? When? Why? How? What about the very old? How old is too old? Those unable to pay their bills? The mentally challenged? The crippled? The insane? Who decides?

Yes and no, I actually did a paper on euthanasia. I believe everyone should have a choice, but there should be certain guidelines. It happens everyday, you just don't hear about it. If the person can't speak for themselves I ask myself, what would he/she want. Example: Terri Schiavo, how many of us would want to be laying up in a hospital bed 14 years? Initially, I'd say okay lets see if she pulls out of it. How long is too long for someone to be in that situation? She had a husband and child and a full life, you know she wouldn't have wanted to have someone wiping and turning her to prevent bedsores for the rest of her life. I think her parents were thinking only of themselves and the pain they would feel once she was gone. I also don't think Jack Kevorkian should be in jail, every one of these people signed and videotaped their wishes, and he wasn't just helping them because they were too far in debt, or something stupid.
On the other hand, the bible is clear on taking a life, your own or that of another.
I personally believe in it. Have you seen Million Dollar Baby, with Clint Eastwood? I loved it, even the part when he helped her at the end.

I am against euthanasia because to take a life is wrong but I don't think people should be kept alive by artificial means.

Difficult question to answer but personally I believe if you are of sound mind & feel that life isn`t the quality you can put up with then you do what you think is right.

For starters, it's another cop-out - the liberal way of dealing things. You have to be very careful where this will lead.

Nope, I'm all for it. Being sick and suffering would be the worst.
