There is many, many, many verses in the bible I can use to show you that the catholics is not teaching the Truth. I will not take the time to look up every scriptures, But I will tell you the difference & you can look it up. First The catholics believes & claims they are following the Apostles of Old, No they are not, Peter was a Married man, because Jesus went to pray for his mother-in-law, & Peter was not a POPE, He was an Apostle. Study the Catholic church history, you can see around 300 to 312 AD they changed many True Doctrines for false Ideals, They brought in baptizing in THE TITLE OF FATHER, SON, & HOLY GHOST, Matt.28:19 read that verse It say in the NAME (SINGULAR TERM) what is that name of redemption, It is Jesus Christ, therefore all throughout the New testament, every Apostle, Baptized people in The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I challenge anyone to find any scriptures that the Apostles baptized anyone in those TITLES. Catholics also done away with complete immerging in water to that of sprinkling, Baptism means to complete Immerge, Water Baptism is to bury the sins we commited in our body, It shows our death to sin, In the natural, if a person die, do we just lay them on the ground & throw a handful of dirt on them & say they are buried, NO, WE put them down 6 ft. The catholics also to this day believe that Mary remains a VIRGIN, that is NOT true, Mary was a Virgin when God put that seed in the womb to bring forth Jesus Christ, & Joeseph her husband did NOT have any sexual relationship until after Jesus was born, & then they had other kids, therefore after Jesus was born & Joeseph & Mary came together as husband & wife, she was not anymore a virgin. as For as having to have statues they bow down to, right there they make themselves just as guilty as the Children of Israel when Moses went upon the mountain waiting for God to speak to him, & down in the camp, there made a golden idol, God says we shall not have any other Gods, And as far as having to bow down to any statues, or kissing the Pope feet or hand, they are making him a God, when in fact He is the true anti-christ that will sit himself up in the temple when the great tribulation begins, I am not saying this Pope is the one, he very well could be, If he is not, then He will be taken off the scene & the next one will be very demonic. I can go on & on, study some of the church history & see it yourself. I am not talking against any person that is caught up in that Demonic denomination, But the system itself, If anyone is in that system, all I can say is RUN & GET OUT OF IT. The bible even says Come out from amoung them .

Are the ABC's posted around a classroom images to worship? Pictures of Presidents and role models of sports figures?

God actually condemned idolatry, not carving of graven images. God forbades those images worshipped as false idols such as the singer Madonna, the Saint Louis Cardinal sports players, politicians such as Hilliary Clinton.

God did not forbid making and using religious statues. In fact God commands Moses to carve images of angels, which set upon the top of the Ark of the Covenant. Exodus 25:18-20

In Exodus 20 God forbade graven images for the SAKE of idolarty. As a Catholic, I recognize that some evangelicals worship the ink on the paper of the Bible, more than the heart of the message of Christ.

This too can be interpreted as idol worship.

They reject the notion that Jesus taught through actions (example) and commands His followers to do the same. Faith and Actions, not Faith alone (this is not found in the bible).

I challenge you to read Num 21:8-9 where God commands Moses to fashion the graven image of a serpent so that in a way the Israelites that are bitten by snakes may be healed miraculously.

In 1 Kings 6:23-28 and 7:23-29 God reveals to us graven images galore in the temple built by King Solomon to honor God. These are legitimate uses of religious images to glorify the Lord, and commanded by God. If King Solomon had violated the Ten Commandments would God have blessed Solomon's temple?

Many hate what they perceive of Roman Catholicism, not the Truth of Roman Catholicism.

Investigate your Fear.

Catholics call their priests "father". At Matt.23:9, Jesus said to call no man "father" in a religious sense. Catholics (and others) observe pagan holidays, like Easter, Christmas, and Halloween. Many of them are involved in politics. Jesus said at John 15:19: "My followers are no part of the world." They believe in the unscriptural "Purgatory." The Pope lives in the lap of luxury, while Jesus "has nowhere to lay down his head." See Matt. 8:20. Catholics (and others) are in the military, although Isa. 2:4 says that lovers of God would not "learn war anymore." Catholics pray to God through Mary even though Jesus said that was his role. He said that "no one comes to the Father except through me."

It must be noted that most of the other "Christian" religions are also unbiblical. They teach many of the same unscriptural doctrines as the Catholics, such as the hellfire and trinity doctrines, and the teaching that all good people go to heaven.

How about the refraining from meat on Fridays.
That's not Biblical.
1Co 10:25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

While I am not saying Catholicism is totally scriptural, it (in many respects) goes from the 1 witness mindset, to the two or more witnesses mindset which Jesus commanded (Matt. 18:16)_ of his followers.

an awesome question. As you've seen, truly some the "unbiblical teachings" posited here are truly misunderstandings of authentic Catholic teachings. those who declare that Communion isn't in the Scriptures are ignoring the data that it replaced into practiced by technique of the Apostles (a million Cor 10:16 and a million Cor 11:27). those who declare that there aren't any Sacraments commanded in Scripture overlook about Gal 3:27 (Baptism), John 6:50-fifty 8 (Eucharist), Heb 13:4 (Marriage), a million Tim 4:14 (Ordination by technique of laying of hands), James 5:16 and Matt 18:18 (Reconciliation), James 5:14 (Anointing of ill). those who declare that the Sacraments weren't somewhat practiced want in difficulty-free words examine the Didache, letters of Clement, of Iraneaus, of Chrysostom and different 1st and second century Christian records to work out how Christianity replaced into somewhat practiced - and that it replaced into profoundly Catholic in nature. those who merchandise to the worship of Mary and the saints are accurate to achieve this - the Catholic Church condemns such practices as idolatry (CCC 2113). appreciate for the topic of an photo does no longer contravene the first Commandment see you later because it aids worship of God on my own (CCC 2132). the position veneration turns into severe it will be rebuked. the position veneration leads one to thanksgiving for the examples of the martyrs and the forebears in faith, and to mimic those who imitated Christ (a million Cor 4:16), this veneration is optimal. those who declare that the honorific for a clergyman as "father" by some ability contradicts Jesus' words (Matt 3:29) ignores the lengthy next Christian historic previous of using "father" to point appreciate and authority (Rom 4:17, a million Cor 4:15, a million Jn 2:13, a million Tim 5:a million, 2 Tim a million:2, Titus a million:4, Heb 12:9, a million Thess 2:11). certainly, the in difficulty-free words ones who confuse the honorific "father" with "God the daddy" are those who are not Catholic. it is my sincerest desire that we may be able to seem on the similarities in our lives, notwithstanding our type of worship is diverse (ours having advanced in an illiterate Europe; theirs frequently having advanced in very literate u . s . a . of america), our purpose is the same: adoration of Our authentic God the daddy, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and salvation by ability of His Son Jesus on my own, who saves by technique of Grace on my own.

I don't think they're worshipping the images, they have them as a reminder, the same way one might wear a cross necklace to remind them of Jesus.
