Guess it came from man watching calf suckle the mother's teet....how the man managed to milk the first cow is beyond me. Wish I could have been there....what a riot!

The most popular theory is that all our food and drink solutions (apart from cooking) came from observing animals. So man see baby cow drinking milk, thinks hmmm, maybe thats what my baby needs to drink etc.

Probably the first person to milk a cow was Adam...or Eve. God showed them the animals and instructed them. They also knew about goat's milk...and what animals to use for food and which ones for clothing. Good question, easy answer.

Most of these things stem from monks, probably monks used to get their lips into action and drink the stuff then one of them at the picnic said.
