Besides being bad for your teeth and contributes to obesity, check out the link below. If you buy smart and check labels, look for things with less sugar and make your foods with less sugar. If you have to buy sugar, get "raw sugar" - it is great as refined sugar is the worst. Foods taste surprisingly good with less sugar = more natural taste. Give it a try!

Sugar in necessary. Your body converts sucrose and fructose to glucose which you need for energy.
Too much sugar with insufficient excercise is bad because the sugar does not get burned off so it converts to triglicerides, storage fats, raising your overall cholesterol count, adding to body weight and potentially blocking your arteries.
Sucrose is harmful to teeth because oral bacteria grow in the sugar and attack teeth.
Being overweight and consuming too much sugar adds to the risk of coronary heart disease, high blood pressure due to narrowing of arteries, strokes and diabetes.

sugar is bad for you, yes.
if you stop eating it suddenly, you're gonna faint somewhere.
you should cut it, but slowly...for example, have a spoon or cube less in ur morning coffee, and every day cut down a little and start sustituting it with honey...after sometime u will not need the need for sugar in ur life, and THEN you will have freed urself from chances of obesity, diabetes, and whatnot.

You don't have to stop eating sugar, may be just cut it back. There are so many different types.
If I stopped eating sugar I'd feel like crap!!!!

yup sugar is bad coz there is a kinda sikness and ya cant get hurt or youll lose an arm, a leg, an organ and all the body parts ya know...i feel sorry 2 those who has that sikness

you'd die without sugar but it comes in many forms and hidden in many foodstuffs. so if you stopped having it in your tea and on your corn flakes you shouldn't notice any difference in how you feel so long as you maintain a healthy balance diet. its very bad for your teeth.
