To me the perfect pizza is deepdish, with mushrooms and sausage.
To you the perfect pizza is thin crust, with onions and green pepper.
Both of us are convinced that these are the best forms of pizza.
So when we get to heaven, which type of pizza will be served?
If heaven exists, then both will be served.
Therefore the only logical way to have a "perfect paradise", is to have a seperate perfect paradise for everyone....follow?
In case you didn't get it, I will pose it another way:
To some, there is no one in heaven who wasn't baptized, to others, everyone gets into heaven who leads a good life. Therefore you couldn't have both of these groups of people in heaven together, because the presence of the other would prevent the first from being in a "paradise". Do you see how ridiculous heaven sounds in this light? The only way for a group of people to be in "paradise" together, is to take away all of their beliefs and opinions, which FURTHER removes the concept of paradise

No two people will ever have the same opinions on what "paradise" will be, so how can you ever have more than one person in the same "paradise"?

MEME, you aren't getting it. To elaborate, lets say that for heaven to be "paradise", my family would have to be there. but lets say that my family never erally like me, so for them to be there, it would not be a paradise for them. How is it possible for us to be in "paradise" together?

Exactly!!!

This is a problem I try to discuss with my theist friends with mixed results.

I'll also throw in the "You'll be with your family again". Then I counter with "Well wouldn't grandma be too busy seeing her grandma to see you"?

About Pizza and seperate paradise for everyone, I think you have a point there. One may one a "special person" to be with him/her in heaven but the other one wants another "special person" to be with him/her. This means that none of these can have their paradise unless they are given different paradises that have somewhat different "dimensions". The 1st person will have the person with him/her but the other person will have a different "dimension" paradise. Anyway my opinion of heaven is that everything is there and everyone is there in one paradiuse. Pain is no longer there because your heart is already saved from Jealousy and other Earthly problems. Everyone are friends and love one another.

About the difference of beliefs, I think everyone has their opinion of heaven but there is only 1 true heaven. Everyone will go there whether it is the Heaven they expected or not.

Why ask a question on something you THINK you already know the answer to? God will judge all mankind including YOU. As far as heaven goes it will be perfect as God has planned for his followers. Obviously you are NOT one so what do you care? Learn to ask questions on matters you REALLY seek answers to. If someone asks a question and you want to try to persuade them with your beliefs or as the case may be "NON" belief so be it. You just want to ridicule and name call. I'm Christian and I shouldn't but I'll say it anyway........You are a MORON!! Oh and I have already asked God to forgive me for my sharp tongue and through the blood of his son I AM forgiven, so that I can get into Heaven whatever way it ends up being like. The question is will you???

Nicholas
let me see if I can answer this before you bash me with more sugar
Christianity has different Sects....and each one thinks that there are a set of rules that you have to follow other than what is written in the Bible....to get to Heaven......is there a Heaven?..I will tell you yes....(but you say no)so on this we will have to agree to disagree.....
Some say that you have to be Baptized while others will say no
it is a maybe/maybe not vise
As far as getting to Heaven and going only God will judge who is deemed fit to make it
Some say when you get to Heaven that you will know your family...and I think yes you will but not in the same way you do here....It will be a brother/sister relationship

and yes I know you say there is no God and I say to each his own

I think your logic needs a little work. I understand what your saying, but it sounds like you think that everyone goes to the same heaven but different rules. If heaven exists, first of all it is so way beyond our concept of understanding we shouldn't even try. Second paradise and heaven are different. Third, If you believe in heaven, then you need to trust that Go knows what he's doing concerning it. If not, then I pity you for the sad life you must live knowing that this life is meaningless, and there is nothing waiting for you. Frankly, the idea of nothing makes much less sense then heaven. Science even says that nothing comes and goes from nothing; everything always exists, but just changes form.

The real issue is that God is beyond our biases and an unfettered relationship with Him is His ultimate intention for our lives--bottom line, heaven is about Him and not about us. It's not about our man-made divisions that God has allowed; it's about getting back to Him as the "main thing" and letting all of the peripheral details fall where they will. As long as our focus is on a relationship with God through His Son Jesus, all of the other deails are just that--nuances that do not (or at least should not) pull us away from focusing first, foremost and only on Him. And since the Bible makes clear that Jesus was, is and will be the focus of the Gospel from now into eternity, since we'll all be focused on Him, nothing else will matter and all of our trivial spats over minutiae will fall by the wayside when we get to heaven. There's no problem at all with this notion of a "collective heaven" because the focus isn't on or about us, but our focus is and will be on Jesus.

That's a nice rationalization, but Heaven really doesn't make sense in the first place. There are many more problems with the concept than whether there are many or one.

This question is like asking how many rooms Superman's Fortress of Solitude has. It's a fiction. Any answer would suit it, since it is made up.

There is no real Heaven, nor any real Hell. There are no gods nor any devils.

You seem angry.....seem to have your mind made up yet you continue to ask questions....Heaven is not the issue here is it? You're unsure of many things you would rather be sure of....Well I don't know, I'm just guessing...but at the following statements I am sure of... You should however answer to yourself after reading this...
ok...DISCLAIMER: In saying this I will first declare that no one should feel singled out to the negative of this Truth but should look to the Hope of Eternal Life.....The bible begins by saying "In the beginning..." but what was before the beginning? It was God alone with His thoughts but He at that time was not God for to be God He must have worshippers so He was the self existing one or Elohim, the Eternal one with no beginning and no end..But what were His thoughts....Many of course but some were of His people whom He had to one day redeem on the cross, Those whom He foreknew would accept the ultimate sacrifice. You see some people will never believe (though I know this, it is not mine or anyone elses job to say who will or won't) because they were not predestined to Life....They are of the wrong seed.....Those who believe were saved from before the foundation of the world..They had to believe its in them as a seed and when the light of the Gospel strikes that Seed, they will recognize it eventually..They are of the Original Word Seed of God and therefore will come back to Him.God being all knowing knew who would and who wouldn't and could therefore ordain some to Life and some to everlasting shame and contempt...Jesus knew who it was He came and died for...It wasn't a gamble Him hoping someone would accept His sacrifice....He had them on His mind as He died just as He had them on His mind before He condescended and became as a man to die....It all goes back to before the beginning....Before God Spoke....His thoughts. I'm so glad that I can say I'm one of them.

your family does not like you for a reason. If you tried to get to know God just a little you would see that through Him we as Christians will love it there. Our flesh that sins will be left behind. As we live here on earth even our flesh slowly loses it's hold on us. You think what you do because you have not actually read your Bible you have just watched Christians who would tell you they are sinful but forgiven, and perhaps from listening to teachers who also have not read their bibles.

What kind of answer do you expect from people you try hard to offend??

Instead of considering what heaven will be like, and convincing others what it is or isn't, here is a better question:

Why not create your own heaven here on earth in every moment?

number one, paradise and heaven are two different places.
two
no one who has read scripture can possibly believe you get into heaven by doing good works.
Three
no one who writes things as disrespectful as you do when answering questions knows much about Christianity so why pretend you do.

do some reading and less writting
