Why do you ask? Are you a pilot? Airline pilots have a very cushy job for most of the time, though it could be very stressful considering they are responsible for hundreds of people. Mind you, the planes are on autopilot for most if not all of the time, and could be controlled from the ground anyway, and if something did go seriously wrong its unlikely the pilot could do much about it anyway.
Military pilots, however, have a very stressful job. They must be highly skilled, and they face a lot of danger, if they see action.

I think they are kind of "super" truck drivers. They pilot a big metallic bird.
If you want to have an opinion on their IQ, ... well the ones I know have more of a "technical intelligence" than a true cleverness.
Did you notice that they are socially very reserved ?
But I like them because of their sense of responsibility.

Cartoon I saw in a "Plane Trader" magazine. Showed two restroom doors. On one door was the label "Pilots" and on the other was the tag "Peons"! Sort of says it all doesn't it? In talking to many people that work the FBO's around airports...pilots are pretty much dickheads. Not all of course...but most, eh?

What a dumb question.
Am I supposed to think about pilots? Because I don't. Unless of course I'm getting ready to board a plane. Then I think about them a little bit more. Then I hope they're not drunk and they've gotten a good night's sleep. Other than that, they don't occupy any of my time.

they think theyre so cool but they arent. they get a ton of stress- if they crash a plane, the other 500 ppl on board arent gonna be happy....
