I'd definately say if you like chinese food then head to the Yang Sing on Princess Street. The food was excellent and pleasingly different to the standard sweet and sour/chop suey etc that you get at most restaurants. Three of us (biggish blokes) paid 29quid each for ten courses/dishes and were stuffed. Enjoy.

There's a nice Mexican restaurant somewhere off Market Street, on one of the side streets just beyond Primark I think. Sorry I can't remember the name. Otherwise Chinatown is good, and the Curry Mile (in Rusholme) is wonderful!
