read the lesson slowly para by para. try to explain each para to yourself as you go along.make notes on the important words, and their meanings in the given context.write down any definitions of formulas or dates and events.
try to write your own summary of each para. this will help you to organize the content in order of importance.
if there are exercises at the back of the lesson, pick out the questions that relate to para 1 after you have written the summary of the para and answer it. then move to para 2 and so on.
repeat this the next day, after 7 days, after a month. you will find it easy to recollect the lesson with full understanding by now.
it will help you better if you could also go to a library and read the same content in different formats from different books.

How can you master a lesson? WHAT lesson? There's not a whole lot of information to go on here. You weren't even able to master a proper sentence, so I'm going to have to say, "no".
