Can you remember all the times and places you were stopped and only warned by police? if so do you remember the crime; speeding etc? OR are you like me and can't remember the warnings ONLY the times I was actually given a ticket!! I hate to say it but I dont remember not one warning, or what I did to be stopped unless the cop gave me a ticket, then i seem to remember it like it was yesterday!! The time, place, what I did (speed, passing etc). how about you? remember the warnings? ir only the tickets?

MOST people would laugh at a warning and continue their bad habits. The only thing that WORKS is hitting them where it hurts,
the WALLET!
Of course, as with some drunk drivers, there are those who NEVER change until their driving privilege is taken away

verbal is definately better!!! does not get reported to your insurance company and does not go on your record.
my verbal warnings were for speeding and I got pulled over for not having my license. It was suspended but for the grace of god they let me go.
If you get a ticket, always try to fight it. In some states, if the cop doesn't show up to court its thrown out. In NY, they scheduled me a court day on a day when they don't have court so that was an automatic dismissal.

Warnings worked for me. It was for speeding on the highway, it was several years ago. I'm careful about that now. Always run about 5 mph over speed limit, unless I'm in one of the many construction zones.

no warnings for me only tickets ,tickets,and oh ya tickets , what is a warning ?? i wish i had cops like you in my town the warnings are by far better

In Australia our cops have quotas to fill so they never warn. They only ticket

i think it depends on your age and personality ,i could care less it i was given a ticket ,but let an officer who knows his job and poeple he can make a warning sink in good!

i've never gotten warnings...only tickets....and i frickin remember all of them!!!!
