My daughter stopped breastfeeding around 12 months. She just lost interest. But my son would drink nothing but breastmilk until 15 months. You might only have to wait a couple more months until your daughter makes the transition so if you can keep going with the feeding until then it would be good. If you just can't for some reason, express your milk or use a sipper cup. Good luck!

I breastfed my daughter until she was 18 months old and I NEVER gave her a bottle! Why would you want to wean her off the breast just so that you can wean her off the bottle later? That doesn't make any sense.
She should be able to start drinking from a sippy cup or a regular cup, with your help.
My first daughter stopped nursing at 10 months and she would sit on the floor and drink from a regular cup with a lid. I never gave her a bottle either. Both girls did just fine a nap time and bed time without having a bottle.

Try giving her a sippy cup with breastmilk... She should be able to transition to a sippy cup at 12 months rather than a bottle...
Try leaving the room and letting someone else give her the sippy cup if the breast isn't there and she is hungry enough she will take the cup..
After you get her drinking from the sippy cup using breastmilk as enticement start weening the breastmilk to regular milk (mix the 2 steadily decreasing the amout of breastmilk to regular milk over a few days)
YOu may have to wait until she is very hungry to introduce the sippy cup... If she is just mildly hungry she will hold out for the breast.. Kids can be very stubborn when it comes to change but if you stick to your guns and only offer the cup she will eventually take it, no child will intentionally starve themselves to death when food is offered... (ok there are children who will but they have other health issues and you would know about it already) Let her get good and hungry and give her only the sippy cup option.. It's going to be a battle of wills but you can win if you keep at it steadily...

There is no reason a 12 month old needs a bottle, they are old enough to learn how to drink out of a cup. Why do you wish to stop breastfeeding? If you just don't want her at your breast, why don't you express milk for her and have her drink it out of a cup?

Why no longer commence pumping and storing your milk and feeding it to her in a bottle? you will discover many bottles that are comparable to breasts you in basic terms could desire to discover the single that works ultimate for toddler. We use the Mam with the help of Sassy bottles you need to purchase them at Toy R Us (toddlers R Us). i might carry out till she is 11 months. Then she will almost commence 3.25% milk (total milk) as long as she is ingesting very healthful. At 11 months you additionally can commence attempting to conceive. while she is 11 month you additionally can provide her some toddler for as quickly as on a daily basis or toddler supplementations to make certain she is getting her food. that's what i might do. I do provide you with a warning having 2 toddlers below 2 is quite frustrating and sucks for the youngsters at school exceedingly in the event that they're in a chop up type with there youthful brother/sister. ETA: do no longer pay attention to Katereen! Absoutely do no longer upload something on your formula different then water if mandatory.

please dont give her a bottle , my daughter who is now 5 was bottle fed from a baby as she wouldn't breast feed , so i thought ok bottle it is , this was the hardest thing to do for me to get her off that damn bottle she finally stopped the bottle at 2-1/2 being my first child i didnt know any different but now a bottle is a no no for so many reasons
the biggest reason is that when you give a baby a bottle a night or day when they go to sleep they tend to fall alseep with the bottle in their mouth and wether it be milk , juice in that bottle the liquid will sit there in their mouth while they are asleep and rot their teeth , i learnt the hard way my daughter had 2 teeth removed at the age of 4 due to decaying teeth, i never thought milk in a bottle would do this but it sure did. i thought she would need juice, cordial with loads of sugar to do this i was so ashamed of myself for not knowing , but thankfully she has perfect teeth now after having 2 removed and she is lucky enough to have them grow back as they were baby teeth.
outlaw the bottle i say
goodluck
warmest regards

Try offering it to her when she is due for a feed, and if she is hungary enough she will take it. Yeah I know it sounds mean but this came out of the mouth of the health nurse and worked for my friend. Half a day later she was happily drinking from a bottle. Ensure it is nice and warm, cuddle her and make it an enjoyable experience for her, so she doesn't miss the bonding experience that breastfeeding provided for the both of you. Good luck!

It's going to be hard, but it can be done. First of all, bottles are a bad habit so I would just go straight to sippy cup. Put something really exciting in it that she's never tasted before. If she won't suck, take the stopper out so it will drip into her mouth and she'll soon learn to suck it when she knows there's something good in it. It will take time, good luck!

if she won't take a bottle, give her a cup. she's too old for the bottle anyway. you could start her off with those nubby cups. or get her one with her fav. cartoon character on it.
