my puppy was sick 3 days ago, the stool was dark, bloody and foul smelling. I took him to the vet and the diarrhea stopped, however he still vomits a couple and hasnt had bowel movement for almost 1 day, is that normal? usually puppy will have like 3-4 bowel movements daily.

he's had a bowel movement this morning, but it was watery and the vomitting hasn't stopped yet, the oral medicine didnt work. I'll bring him back to vet when the clinic opens, thanks!

Well. it couldn't be called normal, but under the circumstances, it would be expected..If he is eating, he will likely have a bowel movement tomorrow..since he has had intestinal problems, the works are just slowed down..
Don't give him anything to loosen the stools..

Awww!
He's getting slowly better. Diarrhea really pulls water out of the body. Pup is dehydrated from the diarrhea and vomiting. Keep the water bowl full, and temporaily get some wet canned food for him/her. Because the mammal body pulls water from the stomach, then the intestines, contstipation may be an issue. Don't let dehydration be part of the problem.
The fact that the stool was bloody is disturbing (what's bleeding?). Regardless of how it looks on Monday, BACK TO THE VET!

If he is still vomiting he is not going to have much of a bowel movement. Get him back to the vet if he is still vomiting.

I would call the vet back and ask him/her about it. See if they think you should bring the puppy back in. It also depends on what the diagnosis was the first time. Did the vet explain to you what to expect during the healing time? Did he tell you symptoms to watch for in the future? Was there medicine prescribed for the puppy? These are all things the vet should have explained to you during the first visit. Give him a call back and see.

Dogs are like us, if we are sick we don't tend to eat a lot. If he is vomitting he needs to have fluids given to help him stay hydrated. If he is vomitting today don't give him any food that will only make him contimue to vomit. Give ice cubes so that the water he does consume is slowly as to not upset the stomach. Take him back Monday to see the Vet and take a stool sample with you.

Call back the vet, could be a serious problem. Make sure that the pup is not chucking up worms too, which can least to the nasty poo. Make sure that there is plenty of fresh water, and don't force feed, will only make him more sick trying to fight off whatever he has. but is a MUST to get pup back into the vet.

He might have worms or a disease that the vet hasn't identified. I would get a second opinion if your vet can't help you. Also you might want to check some websites that can help you more thoroughly.
