Hello!! :o) It's important to acknowledge [I think] that 'lust' is NOT just about 'wanting to have sex'. I truly believe that the word 'lust' in the Bible means 'to be obsessed with'. And that could be for anything. [including - of course - sex] And if you think of it THAT way - you will probably find it easier to understand what it means to 'lust'. God doesn't want us to depend upon something or someone OTHER than HIM. This is why 'lust' is a bad thing. Whenever we 'lust' over something or someone [i.e. making money, having sex, or whatever] we have turned that obsessive desire into a 'god'. And God tells us NOT to have any other 'gods' before Him. Just thinking about having sex - every now and then - isn't a sin. It's when the thought of having sex consumes our thoughts and becomes the FOCUS of our life.
What is at the root of any obsession - of any 'lust'?! It begins with - I think - as a failure on our part to appreciate the importance of God in our life. Once we push God aside [whether we do so intentionally or not] we end up seeking out other 'things' to fill that void.
How does one deal with 'lust'? It's important - I think - not make a HUGE deal out of it. Sometimes people think they're doing the right thing by pushing aside their lustful thoughts [whatever that might be] by becoming focused on how 'bad' they are. But that's just exchanging one obsession for another. Instead of obsessively thinking, "I want to have sex with that person" - they end up obsessively thinking, "I am such a bad person for having such thoughts." Well... that doesn't help. If we do that - then we're STILL 'lusting'. Only now it's about something else. And God is STILL not the focus of our lives. [See what I mean?]
We are ALL human. And like ALL humans - we ALL struggle with thoughts and feelings. And like ALL humans it's very easy to become distracted and push God aside. The answer to practically all of our problems STARTS with getting back to making God the anchor of our lives. Then - and only then - will we ever be able to overcome whatever it is that has consumed our thoughts, feelings and desires. I hope that helps. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

If you are trying to do it on your own, it may seem impossible, but with God all things are possible.
Jesus said that he would give us strength to overcome temptation and have victory over the sin within us.
Trust God and rely on his strength. Make a contract with your eyes like Job did that you will not look at another person with lust. You must be the master of your desires or your desires will master you.

No man, the heart is just a muscle that pumps blood through your body. "lustful" thinking, as you call it, is a result of your being a mammal: mammals have to procreate to keep the species alive, that's we all want to s.h.a.g. and that's alright, you know!! It's not a problem!!

Simple. Get real. Leave the comfort of your PC, go out on the street and talk to some real people. A class act like that would look at your entity and laugh.
