Hello,

If you have not booked your ticket already, book a flight that goes via the UNITED STATES. That route works on a piece system rather than weight so you can have 2 bags at 32kgs each per person!

I used to work for BA and that was what we always did for emigration!

Not nearly enough. I've been "re-locating" to lThailand for several years and every trip is a delamia and a hassle with always wanting to take more than I'm allowed. I've mailed some stuff even. The bottom line is anything you need will be available in Australia and probably less expensive than "excess baggage" fees that the airlines charge or even mailing stuff. Don't look at it as losing stuff or getting rid of stuff you already have but rather as an opportunity to get the new, improved model, different styles or colors and something new for your new life. Good luck, have fun and enjoy the adventure.

That would best be answered by your airline. Usually 20-30kg on economy class. If you are a new immigrant the government should allow you a certain amount of time to bring your things in duty free, so you can have everything else back home boxed up, containerized and sent to your Australia address right away.

ok this query is extremely frustrating. i'm going to aim to respond to it making use of a rule of thumb (very stable thumb although) a million. in case you bypass by way of u.s.: 35kg+a million piece of hand luggage (oftentimes no extra beneficial than 55x40x20cm,which is composed of wheels, handles, straps and so on, and a pc. careful, do no longer carry any liquid, paste or gel on your hand luggage as US airways are very strict with this. 2. in case you do no longer bypass by way of the U. S. (e.g. Dubai, Singapore...): 20Kg + a million piece of hand luggage (comparable regulations as for the U. S. for the size yet does not count number with regard to the drinks) and a pc some companies additionally positioned a shrink on your hand luggage allowance (7kg) yet they do no longer verify that often. final element. I easily have flown to Australia two times now with Emirates and that i had very practically 35Kg of baggage with me + hand luggage and pc, comparable for my female pal and that they permit us to on no difficulty... Have a effective time there
