My computer frequently "hangs up" or even freezes when shutting down. It is as if it is trying to put a programme away and cannot do so. Can anyone assist and do others suffer this with Windows XP?

I agree with the last person, AVG is a lot better than Norton- it just runs in the background and does a full scan every day. If you can, get the full paid-for version- it only costs £22.
