i read somewhere that Catherine Zeta Jones uses dental tablets and soaks her nails in the solution. I did try this but don't leave them in there for too long or they go a bit white-see through!
try a couple of minutes at a time.

Buy a French manicure set. They come with white nail polish as well as clear and peach. Paint the tips of your nails white, wait until they dry and go over them with clear. It looks really nice.

The colour of nails is determined by the blood flow under it, nails are colourless and I can't think of a natural way to make them white.

Try dipping them in lemon juice before you give yourself a manicure, also use a nail brush every time you wash your hands if you can and this helps to keep the tips clean and white.

why do you want them white? do you mean the whole nail, or just the french tips? the best way to do it is use white nail polish.

clean them then put white nail poilish underneath them your brainy if you can think of something that hasn't got chemicals in
