Are you on any blood thinning medication? Aspirin? Plavix? others? My mom does this too, but its because her blood is so thin. You could also have thin blood if you drink alcohol. More information would be helpful.

When I asked my Dr., he said Vitamin K deficiency. Vitamin K is in fruits & vergies. I am a commited carnivore, but I must say that when I get lazy re. my 5 (1/2 cup) servings/day of fresh produce, my bruising goes way up.
I think being of a Scandinavian background pre-disposes me to this also, as my friend with the same genetics is the only person I've known who is as easily bruised as I am.
One thing that I find essential- Arnica Cream or gel by Boiron. I am never without it. Applying the instant I am bumped will make all the difference-it helps the pain instantly & usually keeps me from bruising, or minimizes an unavoidable bruise.
When I taught pre-school, I was the teacher for boo-boos, as it stopped the tears in 60 seconds or less-the school actually began stocking it in our playground first aid box !
If you get a real painful bruise, you can get little homeopathic (natural & chemical-free) pellets in a tube by this same company for about $5.00..
Take it by mouth as needed, nothing else by mouth for 15 minutes before or after or you just wash it away. You actually let it dissolve under the tongue & it has a nice sweet taste.
Once when I had a serious concussion, this stuff worked so well to heal it (a bruise on the brain), it helped the pain better by far than the Rx from the Dr.
Hope this is a help.

Some people — especially women — are more prone to bruising than are others. As you get older, several factors may contribute to increased bruising, including:

Aging capillaries. Over time, the tissues supporting these vessels weaken, and capillary walls become more fragile and prone to rupture.
Thinning skin. With age, your skin becomes thinner and loses some of the protective fatty layer that helps cushion your blood vessels against injury. Excessive exposure to the sun can affect your skin much like aging does.
Generally, the harder the blow, the larger the bruise. However, if you bruise easily, a minor bump — one you may not even notice — can result in substantial discoloration.

Medications and supplements can cause easy bruising
Blood-thinning drugs such as aspirin and warfarin (Coumadin) or medications such as clopidogrel (Plavix) reduce your blood's ability to clot. Because of this, bleeding from capillary damage that would normally stop quickly may take longer to stop, allowing enough blood to leak out to cause a bruise

I would check it out with a doctor. It could be that you are a hemophiliac. Perhaps you just THINK you bruise easily or you are very light skinned, but I wouldn't wait to find out. Do yourself a favor and have some blood tests done. Better be safe than sorry.

No it's not bad circulation I do it too and sometimes it could be a medicine that you are taking or a lack of a certain vitamin check into it I'm sure you are fine.

Ok, it is probably anemia- which is, simplified, an iron deficiency. It is very common in women, especially vegetarians (I am, and I am also anemic) The next time you go to the Dr, tell him/her- they can run a CBC in the office to be sure (they have to rule out anything more serious) and they will prob tell you to take iron supplements

I don't know. I kind of use to bruise easily until I was told I had an iron deficiency.

Take a multi-vitamin once and day and don't take lots of aspirin. I bet you'll notice a big improvement.
