You see this question brought out the racists, I wish they'd all go home. Casinos aren't the issue here, and while some tribes have benefited from it, mine and others in South Dakota have gained little, as ours like our reservations are in the middle of no where. If the govenrment would only honor the treaties they swore to abide by we wouldn't need casinos. As an American Indian, I can't figure out morally how a bunch of people decended from illegal and unwanted immigrants can be so hard on immigration as their own polices would have barred their anscestors!

Back when we were colonizing this country we killed Indians and they killed the White Man also. Those days are over and the White Man prevailed. Unfortunately we the Americans have achieved our Freedom by bloodshed of american servicemen who committed their loyalty to our great country so that we could be free. I like I said before am proud to be a veteran of this country and yes I did fight war for my country at a heavy loss. So what the native american sees in us is money for their casinos and without us americans they would go out of buiseness whereas you all on the other hand are costing taxpayers too much resources and jobs which are not all cheap labor such as the construction trades and we jail your criminals in our jails for the crimes they commit on our soil. Bottom line is that your government is corrupt and you all would rather run than stay and fight for whats right.

feel very sorry for the Indians. I lived in New Mexico and have been on the reservations, they live so poorly. They are very sweet people, as I have been to the places they sell their jewelry in Santa Fe. They have open markets and have their beautiful jewelry there. There are certain rituals that are only for Indians, and do not invite the white people to observe it on their reservations. There are some Indians who do not like the white people at all and have attitude, as I have seen that too. I have heard that the Indians did not come up with scalping, it was the white man who came up with it. The Indians do have many concessions from the Government however, and the casinos are one of them.
About the Mexican illegals. Where else in the world, can you just sneak into their country and set up housekeeping illegally without getting into trouble, well this is no different, plus the penalties are probably a lot stronger, and jail time too I bet. The country in some areas of the world, would probably shoot you as a spy.

You bring up issues that are long dead and gone besides the Spanish were the first to try and impose their will upon the native tribes of this continent they did their part to help exterminate and confine the Indians so don't go all self righteous on us .I would also like to let you know that Indians enjoy many rights that U.S citizens could only dream of they are considered a sovern nation and govern themselves this is why they can build these very profitable casino's.Many of my Indian friends and family are very wealthy now and no longer hate the white man, that much anyway. By the way they want illegals to be deported just like the rest of us.

In California the native American Indians have a public opinion and use for the rest of us: legalized gambling. And it's big business.

I am a native american decendant and I want illegal immigration stopped. I still celebrate my customs and my people. I consider myself an american also though. From the way you made fun of native americans in one of your last questions I think you should queit assuming how native americans feel. Lets it went something like this. When was the last time you had a pow wow. When was the last time you skinned someones head. ( not all Indian Tribes practices that one.) When was the last time you chased a renegade out of your tee pee. I am proud to be a native american and am against illegal immigration. P.S. Yes I am a documented NATIVE AMERICAN decendant.

What country would that be? There was no one country here prior to the formation of the United States. No Native American is required to remain on a reservation and many do not. They live in the US like the rest of us. They work hard, raise children and pay taxes. Many also get a payment from the US government for rather shadowy reasons. Oh, by the-way, who are you and when did you interview each and every Native American to confirm that you know what they think. You missed my home.

You are a racist and a bigot. I am of native American heritage. We chose where we live. We are not confined to a reservation, some just chose to live their. All of us are Americans all the same. This is our country and being here illegally only applies to the present, not to where you were 300 years ago. We currently have laws to protect us against illegal immigration, they just need to be enforced.

"Native" Americans are not forced to live on Reservations. They can live anywhere in the U.S. I believe "native" Americans are citizens just like anyone else born in the U.S. They have as much chance as anyone else to be successful in life if they want to be.
If life returned to the way it "used to be", the native Americans wouldn't have a chance of survival. They would be overrun by any country with a dictator wanting more land. How would the "native" Americans defend themselves?
They wouldn't even have horses if life returned to the way it used to be.

I would not know what to think about your question, I do know many "Native Americans" do not live on reservations anymore and walk freely amongst other Americans (SHOCK). No more bows and arrows, educated and living like the rest of Americans, paying taxes, etc.. .
Racist generalization about "Native Americans" still exists, judging from this question.
I suppose the Tribes along the Arizona border would tell you about the many illegal aliens that leech of the funds given for health care, but you may not want to hear of that generosity they are forced to handout to criminals. I am sure they would prefer to be forced to hand it out to an American first. That is what I think.. I could go on.
