What do you thinkt he military will be like in the future?

Its recruiting methods? (Getting kids into training at a young age, drafts, 1 year service etc..)

For some weird reason I wish I was recruited into the military when I was a kid...

I would have much more self discipline and maybe leadership skills then what I am right now..

Oh and please tell the year or when you think your idea of the future will come...

Like nonpiloted fighters (first ver.) would be tested in 2012... etc

Israel has a nice system where every able-bodied adult must serve a stint in the Armed Forces. They are a true warrior-society. It could work here in the USA too.

I think it will be highly computerized. Machines that will go in and locate a target, and just relay it back with a picture, and the person will tell it what to do. It can probably fire with precision, and not miss. The planes will be the same, flown without a pilot, and will do the same thing. I think a person is too important to just send them out and let them get killed. I think we could possibly have fewer people in the army, or military. I think they will be behind computers and be programmers, or computer operators, fighting and telling the machines what to do. They already have a prototype of one that will do that, the new fighter, that is being designed to fly without a pilot. I think we need to keep our military on this land, and not spread out too thin and take such a tremendous loss. Like D Day, they just came out of the boats on the beach, and the Germans machine gunned them all down before getting off the beach. That sort of thing will never happen. The wars of the future will not last very long, because someone stupid will use a nuke. We will have to begin all over again.

Militaries in the future will be devided between those who defend Humanity and those who don't.

When space finally opens up to us , there will be a lot to horde for.

Manufacturing will be "in the fly". The product also take shape as the raw material is being streamed towards Earth. Conventional transport is too expensive and cumbersome ,, and open to terrorising ,, being "localised" (to mean you know where the stuff is at)

In a stream , the inventory is panned across a large distance. Improves , but complicates the security issue.

There will be military quardrants.

Might not be a future to consider if big government and associated military keep starting wars.
