#1 Reccomend a complete withdrawal from Iraq and let them fight it out. Keep at least 50,000 troops in Kuwait to watch
them.
#2 Recommend restoration of the draft.
#3 Cancel the V-22 Osprey program and put the money into rebuilding existing helicopters and buying new ones of existing models.
#4 Use some of the above money to get the F-35 fighter into full production.
#5Urge Japan be allowed to participate in the F-35 program as a full development partner.
#6 Put priority on rebuilding equipment worn out/ damaged in Iraq.
# 7 Start a policy of rotating B-2 bombers through bases that are in easy strike range of both N.Korea and Iran.

Tom Collins has got the right approach, but without the draft. Everybody loves to be loved. The budget beurocrats that are stopping leaders like SECDEF from doing his job fully without cutting corners is costing you and me and our kids and their kids an omnipotent amount of cash. Double or triple the troop sizes, quit micromanaging equipment usage, create a triple wave offensive from either a flank move or circum move on hot spots. ***** slap the extremests to surrender and collect the intelligence needed to break the revolving infrastructure. Then throw a keggar.

Ask the new Iraqi govement if they still want us in there country, if they say no then its time to leave. Lastly only stick our nose into other peoples faces, when were asked, and if we goto war again because were attack, get in defeat the enemry, show them that happens if they attack us and then get out of the place.

Start up the draft and triple or quadruple the number of ground troops in Iraq. Overwhelming force to secure the country like it should have been done in the beginning.

The first item of business would be to seek Donald Rumsfeld's advice.

Nothing.... I know this question has to do with having troops in Iraq. The US is in neck deep right now. If we cut and run, Iraq will turn into something that is worse that what Saddam had it in. Unfortunately, the US has placed itself in the middle of this until the very end.

Eat my pistol. Whether you like him or not, Rummy's in a bad spot. Just being in the Army is stressful enough. SecDef is a tough job to do but an easy one to armchair quarterback.
