I got some alfalfa for my dog works great also bathed her in a Product called BasicH2 they are safe and not toxic products. There is also a product called Basic G.
This is what I do I take 1/2 tsp of BasicH2 and 2 or 3 drops of Basic G and put it into a gallon of water then I put solution into a sqeeze bottle rub all over the body make sure you keep it out of her eyes as it does sting. then once you have it all rubbed in rinse well.Use in shower area or with hand shower. The BasicH2 basically just cleans the body Basic G gets rid of germs and fungus. For the alfalfa I would give her 2 tablets a day . If you decide to go this route order the products through Shaklee.ca
If this doesn't work for you, you may have to take her to the vet she may have allergies.

Scratchex brand dog soap,,Hartz flea spray (is not harsh) & if the dog has "hot spots" (itching in one area that is wearing the fur out & reddness),,use the spray for itch relief.Fleas can be very teenie.Use bleach on dogs bedding & floors & vaccuum alot.Repeat the bath in 2 weeks if needed & use the sprays as often as needed following directions & keep up with the bleach.I say this because once you get the fleas the first time,,a couple weeks later,,its eggs hatch.

Dry skin or she could be allgeric to something, in the grass or air.
Where is she itching? Her back side, her private area's? Maybe she needs to go see the Vet and have her anal glands checked
out, or have you switched food on her lately? My golden had the same problems and the vet said to pick a different dog food, that has none of the ingredients that you are giving her now. Let me make a suggestion---Nutro (brand name) all natural ingredients, no by profucts, horse meat etc. Try that out, let me know

I have a Bichon and he has skin allergies. He gets an allergy shot once a year ($40- office call and shot) and boosters as needed for $12. He usually gets the booster in the summer. Older dogs cannot take the shot though. The "itchy shot" works better than anything else I have tried.

Ask your vet about Clovite. It is a vitamin and mineral supplement. A dog breeder gave me some and it worked great for our Cairn Terrier.

Well I tried the Epson salts desolved in warm water, for my dachshund, I gave her a bath in it, sure helped for a while. but it`s time to do it again, because it did`nt cure her, but gave her relief from itching for a few days. oh yes, I used one cup of the epson salts to 2 gallons of water. also please Don`t let her lap, or drink it, because it is also used as a laxative.
