Not sure if this is correct, but this is how I always used the word kind of and kinda. Kinda is like saying "I kinda like it". Kind of would be used like saying "This is a pretty kind of dog". Hope this helped

Well, it maybe kind of could be, sort of, if you want to look at it that way, maybe, or on the other hand it's not really so much sort of vague as kind of, you know, sort of, it's like, well, maybe some people wouldn't put it maybe quite so categorical if you know what I'm saying, probably. Or maybe not. Probably. Or is that just me?

kinda is an informal way of saying 'kind of'. its a part of the hip hop vocabulary n its sort of cool , so its used by the new generation.........., u know

It is a shortened version of "kind of." It generally is used in conjunction with "like" as in "this is kinda like that." I guess it means "almost" or "nearly" or "somewhat akin to." I hope that this helps. BTW it is not good English but is commonly used in speech and almost never used in a written form. (Certainly not in "proper English."
