excuse me Frogmama but brides do get superstition about the groom seeing the bride in her dress on the wedding day before the ceremony, wearing pearls, carrying red & white flowers and other things that are supposed to be bad luck and could result in divorce. So don't be so insulting.

It's traditional to wear white, white also means purity, innocence, amongst other things. What percentage of woman who wear white are virgins...or never been married? The color white simply is a trend. Means nothing else really, I don't think it's bad luck.

Wearing white is a sign of purity...cream is the color most 2nd time brides wear, since they are obviously no longer pure. Now brides are going beyond tradition and adding their own unique touch to their attire. Like this gown (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2028&prodgroup=10) some are adding a colored sash around their waist...or like this gown (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2641&prodgroup=10) some are adding colored ribbon to the edge of their dress and/or veil. My personal favorite is similar to this (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2288&prodgroup=10) where colored embroidary is incorporated into the bodice.

brides wear different colors now. actually i saw a few with a trim accent in red, or blue , or green. a lot do a dress in blush tones now or a soft blue.
your logic can be challenged: most women are walked down by their fathers so should they not walk with their fathers then? most have wedding bands so should they not have those?

that's a lie, 50% of marriages do not end in divorce. it's on in three which is completely different.
plus what is the question? you can wear any colour you want on your wedding day. white is just traditional.

Wear whatever you want. As far as the groom, I'd be a little more superstitious in choosing the right one.

What a silly question!
Bad choice in mate causes divorce, not the color of your clothes!
It takes many more things than color of a dress to ruin a marriage.
