I had this problem since a very long time... The back of my eyes hurt at random times and i dont know why... Sometimes its just 1 eye, sometimes its both... I could not find any sequence when my eyes hurt or if there are any activites that i am doing which are making my eyes hurt...

Sometimes the pain goes away in 1 hour sometims it takes about 2... I usually try my best to sleep it off as this is the only way that helps me...

My eyes hurt from the back its as if the eyeball is connected to my head with a string and that string is hurting...

I saw a couple of doctors but none of them could give me an answer... I saw an Eye doctor who said that this is unusual and didnt know what the problem was... Another doctor said it is "probably" migrane, but its not...

Any recommendations? Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what's causing your pain, but I do know that migraines and brain nerves often affect just the right eye. I normally have occassional sharp pains in my right eye, and when a dosage I take increases, it goes to two eyes, and when lowered, back to one eye. (wierd huh?) and right eye pain is definitely related to migraines..anyhow, the point is - because it is so interconnected with the brain - you should get it checked out - and you might be better checking with your normal physician than your eye doctor first - well, my an eye doctor first than a physician. Sorry I"m no help. I hope you feel better. But definitely see a doctor. Eyes are too important to ignore.

My guess is, sinusitis - ethmoiditis or sphenoiditis in particular.. since it tends to have pain behind your eyes. Ask an ENT doctor and will probably ask you to get an MRI or Sinus scan.

Some sinusitis are caused by allergies, that is why the pain tends to subside.

Thyroid Eye Disease ?

Have you had your thyroid checked. I know that the thyroid has some effect on the interocular fluid within the eye. It can cause pain/swelling.
