I'd see someone else if you told him that you get side effects from a drug he has presribed you & he ignored that. A lot of the brain fixy type drugs do have side effects for ages but then they stop, others don't. It's up to you to weigh up wether the side effects are worth the actual effect that the drug gives. If this one is really no good & this doc won't give you anything else then for sure see someone else, even though it is really hard to tell your story so much you have to keep doing it til someone will listen.

Spend some quality time with your fears, what else have you got to do? Define why each and every scenario is one that causes you anxiety you don't need pills for this you only need your fears and your memory. Next define what it would take to change them slightly so that you might gain a measure of personal freedom from them. Turn off the news it's corrupted bit s of truth designed to engage a lot a sick people to it's drama, pick up some Jane Austin novels such as pride and prejudice and read, your imagination can withstand a journey in your mind. Love aloneness and know that most people spend a huge deal of it weather they are with others or not. The only person who truly needs you right now is yourself. Good Journey

It's good that u told Ur psychologist everything on Ur mind that way he /she will know what you need to fix u up.
If u think it's all about the money try another psychologist to see what they say a second opinion. i am on Prozac for depression, zanex for anxiety and a little bit of seroquil for sleep I have never liked taking pills, but two moths ago after going through depression and anxiety, tried one month to make myself better the natural way, i just ended up getting worse because the lack of sleep.
NOW that i am on the pills I am able to calm down , feel normal, and take time to find out why i got depressed in the first place. I was so scared to take pills , but the depression i was going through was like a nightmare. the pills really do help, and with in a year i will ease myself off of them.
the fact that u don't want to take pills is because of the anxiety itself.
you need to be careful not to believe everything u read too, because it may put more fear in Ur heart....u need to be strong right now,,,
Try self help books at Ur local library, those books are great.
take care and try not to corrupt your own mind just remember it's only in ur head, It's not real

You're very wise about medications and psychiatrists. I have no respect at all for doctors who prescribe pills for depression and anxiety. Not everyone benefits from anti-depressants and tranquillizers, and they do major damage to some people, like myself. I am better now, if only a little. Most psychiatrists are only after money, from insurance and the drug companies. I hope you find some way to deal with depression and find some peace in life. I read good books and meditation also is good. Please, let's be happy together, and beat the odds.

I am a bit unaware of what your question is, but i think it to solve your problem you could start communicating with more people. I as many others get anxious around people, especially when it is more than a small group. You might be able to help you self, try talking to people in real life. Get to know your mail man for example say hi or wave if you can. Talk about the weather or his job. Eventually you should be able to trust him and start forming relationships (not physical or romantic) with the people around you. Know that you are normal. Know that everyone else has fears.

I didn't know there were any working on Saturdays. Maybe he or she can set up a boxing match for you. If you lose you have to take the meds. They can always prescribe but that doesn't mean you'll take it. Many mentally ill people end up in the prison system. It's the new way to take care of the needy. You can even get your meds there too. It's your choice though. On the outside or in the inside of a prison.
