When I go to the beach I get this rash all over me. It is also when i go in my friends pool so it is something to do with salt water. I don't think I am allergic to salt water because it hasn't happened before. It only started in the first week of the holidays when it was my first time in salt water for a long time. I don't go in salt water very often at all. I haven't been in salt water since. Why is salt water causing this rash??????

Must've developed an allergy to it. My dad was in the Navy and didn't find out till late in his career that he was allergic to saltwater.

I'm sure it was probably the sunblock. The only thing that will get rid of an allergy rash...if it is a true allergy...is antihistimine, such as benedryl. Caladryl lotion is good to use. It may be a sensitivity instead of an allergy. If so, it will go away faster. I like to use Desitin on any kind of rash because it not only clears things up quickly, but it stops any itching and pain. I assume because you're a good enough mom to remember the sunblock that you're also a good enough mom that you immediately washed all the salt off of her.
