I know there must be a at home remedy to quickly lighten up a temporary hair dye job. We've already washed her hair 8 times and it's not lightening up. Isn't there something as simple as tomatoe juice or something? Help!

you can try using curd/yogurt...its a natural bleach and it should help. Or you can also try using lemon juice, mix it with a little bit of water and apply (lemon can be very acidic). Leave on the mixture for atleast 15mins prior to washing

I would go to a salon to lighten it up and avoid damaging the hair. Re hair color for brunettes. While looking for a "lighter" hair color (even light brown was too dark) it happened that a beautician was standing beside me & advised me to buy a hair color with "beige" as a description. Believe it or not but she recommended I buy a blonde beige. I did & got the perfect bown; not too dark, not too light. Good luck.

Soak it in slightly watered-down lemon juice and have her sit in the sun for a few hours. Works like a charm.

oil and a plastic bag if you can put heat on it while oil is on it will help. wash after 30 min and you can do it again if it is not light enough. castor oil, and olive oil always worked best for me.
