So I was at a restaurant with my friend enjoying some lunch. Behind me was a boy no older than 19 (I'm 20 by the way). While me and my friend were talking, I was unaware that my underwear was showing. Also, apparantely just a TINY bit of my crack was showing. While I'm talking, I feel something cold and hard fall down my underwear. I stand up, and dig in my underwear until I find a shiny quarter. Turns out the boy sitting behind me had slipped it in there to notify that everyone in the whole restaurant could see my underwear. I glare at him angerly, because I knew he was lying, for as if he was truly trying to be polite, he would have whispered it to me, or slipped me a note, not put a coin down my underwear.

What do you people think? Should I have slapped the boy?

Both of you were inappropriate. When you are in public, you should make sure your hind parts are adequately covered. The visual is not something people necessarily want to see when they are dining.I really hope you went into the washroom to dig into your underwear (ugh) and washed your hands afterward. The guy either truly did not know what to do and made a stupid choice or else was a jerk.

If your company was a man, he would not have done it because he knows things would get physical, so slapping is not out of order, although it could get you into more problem than he if you had reported him. On the other hand, I have noticed the trend of low cut jeans and I not only find it not to be as sexy as you might expect, but also a bit skanky. To be honest, I think the guy (a jerk, for sure) thought you were a ho and did not deserve respect. It may be wrong, but everyone judges people by there appearance, including you.

You probably should have got up and told him what you thought about that situation. I mean seriously! That's so rude to slide something down your underwear and to be a complete stranger at that, is so wrong! Slapping is a little violent though I'm pretty sure he deserved it but at the same time if he was decent enough, i agree with you... he could have let you know quietly.

I would have wanted to slap the boy...that just gets me furious reading that. boys are so incerdibly immature and can be so very insensitive. Maybe he thought you were cute and thought doing that would get your attention in a positive way if that is at all possible, i only say that because i dont think to highly of guys under the age of 25, not to bright.

Probably boy may be right - he might have really did it just to remind you of the mistake. If he adopts, the means /modes suggested by you - then, it would have attracted the attention of so many in the restaurant.

Well if you were really upset you obviously would have reacted differently. So it was probably just fine since you were about his age and he obviously was hitting on you. But if you were that upset you should not have let him get away with it because then he might have seen you as a "loose" woman. So yea. What he did was probably wrong, but you handled it wrong.

I carry nickles around for when my husbands "piggy bank" is showing! a complete stranger is something else entirely. I'm sorry but (inappropriate as it was) I think it's funny. I also hoped you fished it out in the restroom. I would have walked over to his table, dropped it in his drink, and said I think you dropped this!

Yeah, girlfriend, he was insulting you. Basically saying that you are cheap. You are worth more than that. You have every right to go over to him and tell him that you are a lady and he was invading your personal space. No one has the right to treat you with such disrespect. You are a lady, a young woman with a good head on your shoulders, never let anyone, especially a guy treat you like dirt.

As a security person at a bar, I say you should have made the restraunt staff aware of it. You should never get psyical with anyone, because as a security person I would request that you both leave.

If he was behind you, then you should have started with a round-house elbow to his lobe. Remember that the strength is in your torso and not your arm.

Then while he is dizzy, you should have used the other elbow hit him him on the back of the neck, putting completely out of possibilities of defending himself.

I don't know if you carry mase....but you should. While he's unconscious spray him on the face with mase while stepping on his neck.

Then politely give him back the quarter and resume dinner.
