too much of anything is bad for you, although...

MSG can trigger a migraine. I know because it does for me.

Also Glutamate is: "A salt or ester of glutamic acid, especially one that functions as a neurotransmitter that excites cells of the central nervous system."

It works by fooling you brain into thinking that somethings taste better than it does. IMO I good cook does not need to use it. And I think I have read where it kills brain cells.

Overall, yes it is bad for your health, IMO.

I think it is. Studies have not shown it to be harmful to the body, but there are indications pointing to it, and Ajinomoto has been vigourous in reinforcing the fact that no studies have clearly linked MSG to damage to the human body.

I think it is. I wouldn't eat anything with it. I don't want to find out the hard way.
