You have to be really careful, because.........
"Ambien may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, other sedatives (used to treat insomnia), pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and muscle relaxants. Tell your doctor about all medicines that you are taking, and do not take any medicine unless your doctor approves."

It is taking a risk, and that's exactly what Anna Nicole Smith's son did and it didn't turn out well for him. Best to get the ok from your doctor first.

Yes, just use carefully. Maybe half the ambien or lortab. Some peoples body make-up can handle multiple pill mixtures and others cannot. Be Careful.

Ambien doesn't work on me, but Lunesta does. I try to stay awake on purpose, but I like messing with my brain a little bit. It's a strange experience if you can pull it off.

Yes, but both will probably make you drowsy....don't take the Ambien and expect to go out or do anything, because it's a hypnotic/sedative......great sleep, but nothing else!
