A man should never talk about his sex life. I understand how you feel.
Now being real I will tell you that most men may mention they have had sex, but when women talk to their friends they tell the general DETAILS of their sex.
I believe sex is very personal and should not be talked about and you are right for feeling the way you do, and because you care deeply about this it shows that you are a very respectable person.
Yes you should let him know how you feel and I can almost guarantee this won't happen again.

What a loser this one is. This is your boyfriend? No wonder he was a virgin at 26 years of age. He sounds like a real jerk telling your friends you had sex. Or maybe he is so proud that he is no longer a virgin at 26, he has to tell the WHOLE world. Get rid of him. He is immature.

I don't think a man that did that wants anything serios with you.
Talk to him:
If he does: Tell im you are NOT happy believe me he'll change (if he likes you)
If he doesn't: Tell everyone he is lying, that he is still a virgin and tried to have intimacy with you but he was really bad a it. And nothing hapenned. Remember people always beleive the woman with these types of subjects.

Hell I beleive in second chances and all but it seems to me like he messed everything up. Just go with your gut feeling/follow your heart those are usually the best descision makers.

maybe he doesnt realize that its making you uncomfortable, for him, well its a good thing, and hes just beaming about it. You need to talk to him and tell him how its making you feel and that you want to keep your sex life personal. Depending on what he says or does after that then think about letting him go.

He's a little boy, not a real man. Realmen keep their mouth shut about personal stuff.
Just confront him and spell it out for him, he's stupid, and you can't fix stupid, their's no pill he can take to get smart.
Just leave him and find someone better than him.

YES you should give him a second chance. Chalk this one up to "testosterone poisoning". He means no harm to you. It is his way of announcing that he is no longer a virgin. This WILL come to pass.
The bigger question,,, are you prepared for the day that he deals with the question ,,,, "what is it like with someone else"?
