If you had a sexual relationship with someone that lasted over a year, does that obviously mean that both people were physically attracted to one another? Especially if it was continuous even though things might change (physically) or if they had a break, & but get back together in that type of relationship?

People have sex for the strangest reasons. Attraction, envy, fear, opportunism, love, whatever.
However, they continue having sex for one reason: comfort. Nothing about the relationship is particularly unattractive, so there's no reason to end it permanently.

If there's a break and reunion, that usually means the one who initiated the break had aspirations of a relationship with someone truly fulfilling, attractive, and lovable, but failed to find anyone like that. Thus, he or she returned to a comfortable place, which is probably in your bed.

I'm very sorry.
