Scholars comparing the copies we have to the originals that have been discovered throughout the years have found only very minor differences between them. Part of that is due to the fact that the scribes who wrote out copies of the manuscripts were very meticulous and would destroy a manuscript if they made even the smallest error.
Even if you take several different translations side by side and compare them, you will see that the differences are quite minor. Why not see for yourself? You can get a parallel Bible which includes a few different translations right next to each other so you can make easy comparisons between them. There are also many good translations where the translators explain their choices between words and show how the text might have been translated differently so that you can see the difference translation might make in meaning.
Do some real research, and you'll see that trusting that the Bible we have now is very accurate to the original manuscripts is actually quite reasonable and logical.

What's your evidence for your claim? That is, why should I believe you?
There are well over 25,000 ancient Biblical documents (fragments and whole texts). Have you considered how difficult it would be to completely rewrite and replace all existing copies in the first few centuries?
The early church fathers quoted the Bible more than 86,000 times in their letters. So many, in fact, that except for just a few verses, the entire new testament can be recreated by these quotes alone.
The Bible stands on solid ground when compared with any ancient document. Any.

Few Christians actually realize that the book they called the Holy Bible was edited, collated and assemble by The Council of Nicea in 325 AD. This council of Alexandrian bishops decided what books would be included and which translations would be used. many Gospels were left out of the Bible because the words and lessons they contained would threaten the authority of the church.
but history matters not to a modern day American Christian. if a book has the words "Holy Bible" stamped on it then it's the infallible Word of God.

There is no evidence that the original manuscripts have ever been re-written or edited.
If the Bible had been re-written, then the ancient copies in museums should read different than modern copies. They do not.
The English language version gets re-translated from time to time to make the language sound modern, but there is no sign that anyone has tampered with the ancient Greek or Hebrew.

In response to "nebtet" below, the NIV was complied from pre-Nicean texts.

I don't. I believe in some of the morals and values in it. Some lessons are good, but religion as a whole is devisive, delusional, and detramental to society.
ESTHER - YOU IDIOT....... White House translates to Spanish as
Casa de Blanc(house of white).... do you see the ignorance of your thinking in the language translation. Words can be added or left out, it's highly fallable!
Read a science book, it's much more logical, reasonable, and rational.

Hey Esther, how you you explain the New and Old testament??? They are definitely different. And I'm sure that through every translation, parts are changed especially when certain literal context doesn't translate the same way into a different laguage. I am definitely sure that no translator has EVER implied any of their bias into it.):\

Now, let me ask you something. Where did you get that information? That the bible has been "re-written"? From some book? You don't know that at all.
No, the bible has not been re-written. It has been translated from manuscripts into different languages and, as time goes on and language changes, different versions with more modern venacular come out.
Stop repeating silly things that you hear!

Do you believe in history? How many times have the accounts of history been written over and over again ad nauseum? well, then... same reason.
