Great question.
I have often wondered that myself. I had a really hard time deciding whether my own responses or actions were "normal" or not. I beat myself up when I thought I'd overreacted.

But now I just don't seem to care anymore. I guess that's what life has taught me. I know that my own responses are normal for me. If it feels right for me, than it's "normal" even though other people might choose to think or act differently. Then that would be normal to them.

I didn't even remember that I used to wonder about this until I read your question :-)

Humans, different cultures & society has established certain "norms" of what is considered "Normal". Actions, behaivior etc outside those imposed "norms" are not approved by majority & not socialy accepted. Maybe we all know that doing the right thing is "normal" & doing the wrong thing is well.... not right hence not normal.

From your point of view, everything is normal, from my point of view everything is normal.

For a killer is normal to kill, for a baby is normal to cry, etc, etc

There is not such of thing as abnormal or normal. It doesn't matter how stupid are the things that a person does, says or thinks, there is always a logical explanation from that person.

Normal is the majority of surroundings. It could be different for every being.

Other people have decided that already. The best you can do is to know right from wrong.

Nothing really is. Everyone is weird down under.

What is normal for a culture is what everyone pretends to be.

There is no such thing as normal, only average... just pay attention to what most every one else does.
