To be honest there is no real answer, everyone believes it to something you share with some one close a bond of sorts like attachment. I have seen it spoken in regards to some of the most profound and inane things i've ever heard. Watched it used to beat children as a word and theory, we can even kill in the name of love and still call it by it's name. We haved watched as others because of love for self or family go to endless death and ruin when this phenomina is involved. I think love is the most misunderstood of all happenings, after asking a heartfull many persons on my own quest for the answer. the conclusion i came to was that it is not a feeling, i would rather call it an event, something that a moment or a week sometimes more stays within and around you, an energy if you will, a force, something one cannot bid upon desire or whim. What we feel for most loved ones is constancy of feeling is the same for our friends but that isn't really love. Love moves around those that you care about you see it in thier lives, smiles and bliss. It is not something you bring with you to a party a dance awards
cerimony. It has no expectation of you, you are the vessel it chooses to fill if empty or full or not at all. Alone you can feel it in your field of being, with others sometimes a glimpse in all around and at other times only within you. If you question that it truely is you've not felt it's force purely at one with you only for moments does this magic take place and to go through it into a theory would cause what is truly sacred to become mundane, a fad something to write on cards and spend wasted efforts at its alter. Love dosn't require need it has no wants is in it's perfecting without need of defining. Follow only what you truely feel listen with the mind of a child, open yourself to others so far that they have to turn away when confronted by your vital truth of emotion and never forget know that the universe gave you a song to sing far more powerful than all thoeries, dogmas, beliefs and myths sing in your heart for the truth of your feeling in all things and you will know love.

Love is mutual respect. Love is also watching your husband leave for a year to serve his country while you stay home with the kids and cry yourself to sleep every night worrying about him but telling him everything is ok so he can concentrate on his mission and not worry about you.Love is being in a room with someone and not having to talk to be happy. Love is holding your children for the very first time and never losing the feeling it places in your heart. Love is Love.

the feeling that you would do anything for someone, and sacrifice your own personal happiness for them. Marriage sucks. I am happily devorced.
