Mr. Slave: No Jesus would not allowed any human to substitute for Him in regard to His beating. The sacrifice had to be a lamb- without blemish (Christ was our Passover Lamb). You, I or any other human could not be sanctified ( placed apart for a holy purpose), because we have "blemish(es)" [sins]. It requires someone Holy FIRST to make others Holy, following. Although He [Jesus] was God in the flesh (Emmanuel), He felt every snap of the cat-o-nine tails with bone or lead attached to each tong, on his body. These Roman tormentors were expert "extractors". They knew where the right spots on the body were, where the ends would bite in and rip the flesh away - exposing the bone (ribs). These same Romans had the sadistic knack of manipulating the victim [Christ] to cry out even, after He was on the brink of passing out !!! They also, could use the Roman cat-o-nine tails to create a design of their choosing ! Satan ensured that the meanest "machine" ( Romans) would be implemented in the cause.
