In ancient texts and study of the Zodiac, it is said that we are coming into the Age of Aquarius a cycle that changes every so many thousands of years. Im interested to hear peoples thoughts on this topic if any.

A principal belief is that modern society as we know it will be replaced by a Utopian society. According to New Age teachers, this will be accomplished by radically changing conventional thinking through mystical knowledge that has been hidden or ignored until recent years. They say that this new era of harmony will unleash human potential and will usher in universal spiritual peace.

This hope seems to be based primarily on the predictions of astrologers who point to our day as the threshold between the passing age of Pisces and the coming age of Aquarius. Proponents of this theory claim that the zodiacal sign of Pisces has had a negative effect on mankind for almost 2,000 years. They point the finger at Christendom as the principal culprit in the creation of a materialistic and backward society. Christendom is accused of hindering the progress of truth. But today that truth can purportedly be found in the occult and will be made clear during the impending age of Aquarius, the age of spiritual enlightenment, the new age.

These ideas are not found in the Bible. However, Matthew 24 does pinpoint our era as the end of a system of things.
The Messianic Kingdom of which Christians have prayed for, will then administer affairs on earth, which will be brought to its foretold Paradise condition. Mankind will be freed from sickness and death, and the dead will be resurrected to life on earth. These are the delightful prospects awaiting those who recognize the sign of the times.
Would it not be the wise course to learn more about that realistic hope rather than the unaccomplishable efforts of man?

It is upon us. Aquarius is the spark of the news flash, the creative mind - the internet if very Aquarian and certainly we see the internet age coinciding with the Age of Aquarius. We also see people thinking differently about a lot of things. I find more open mindedness, people who are more willing to think outside of the box, as it were.

I think more than that, though is the generation we have of kids with outer, generational planets marking a renaissance in humanity and a reaching for the stars that I am thrilled about. We live in miraculous times - which is not surprising either. Every time we turn a century mark we grow by leaps and bounds.

Peace!

PS - the next answerer reminds me of the Pisces connection. Pisces can be explained as martyrdom and christianity, which just celebrated 2000 years, has often been represented by the Vesica Pisces (also known as the Jesus Fish). So by this theory, the Age of Pisces gave us Christianity, the Age of Aquarius brings us invention and creativity with which we can create a better society - and the children I mention above are a big part of that.

Some are saying that the autism epidemic that we are experiencing has something to do with all this - that these kids (autistic, asperger, indigo, ADD, ADHD, etc.) have a heighened psychic ability that could be the way of the future for humanity. We are lucky enough to watch and see how this all plays out. We may yet get to the stars my friends!

Peace!
