I am a guy and my hair is sort of an in between length and I want to grow it longer, but I have some hair that keeps falling into one of my eyes. Its not long enough to tie back into a pony tail or even tuck behind my ear. I've tried gels and mousse but even after a few hours it just starts to fall into my eyes again. Caps aren't allowed in school and my mom hates them too. Any suggestions for controlling it other than cutting it?

I wonder if 'water wax' (mine is from Redken) would work? I guess it's a pomade and you use just the smallest little bit. The heat from your hands makes it pliable, then you pull your hands through your hair at the scalp. It's heavier than mousse but not as heavy as sculpting gel. On my hair, it gives that 'pieced' look where the strands kind of separate.

I got mine at the salone where i get my hair cut. It was expensive but honestly, you just use the smallest little bit, so it lasts forever.

Try using a pomade, also called hair cream, hair wax, chunking cream, texturizer. It doesn't dry out and fall off the hair shaft like gel and mousse do. It is wax based, so it stays flexible and really sticks! I use it on my hair b/c it's guy-short and sticks straight up. If I use gel, the stuff crumbles right out of my hair, and looks even worse! The pomade lays it down, gives it some texture, and doesn't make it feel sticky, crunchy,or stiff.

Work an amount the size of a marble into the palms of your hands, then rub it into damp hair. Comb into place, then move it around with your fingers to get the right shape. Leave it alone until it's completely dry to make sure it keeps its shape. Your hair will have more of a "memory" of its desired shape than with gel, but won't be stuck in place. It may still fall into your eyes, but not as badly, and you won't look "styled", just polished. Plus, it softens up if you add a little warm water to it, and you can re-style it in the restroom in a flash!

you can keep the length but have a few layers in it, then when your hair dry after you've freshly washed it, put in one small sponge roller - the pink one with a clasp - rolling it outwards towards the scalp, leave it in for about 5 minutes or longer.
take the curler out and then brush it back, and then put your hairspray.

get some freeze hair spray or try a gel like "hard up gel", it's for guys and it really holds.

wet your hair at night, put it where you want it, then hold it in place with a headband, go to sleep. it will dry in that position, then use gel in the morning for styling.
Good luck!
