God's nature is love. Love wants to give and wants someone to love. Also. love wants to be loved in return. God created humans so that He could love us and be loved by us in return.

Also, God is our Father and we are His children. As any father, He wants his children to love each other. In this way Love is magnified. He wrote us a book and in it He tells us what to do to love Him and to love our brothers and sisters.

In it He tells us not to be selfish or mean to others. We are not to rob, murder, commit adultery, and other similar things. However, people don't want to follow these rules of love, so they make excuses and say the Bible isn't true. That way they can be as selfish as they want to without guilt.

God also wants to give us, His children, Eternal Life, and happiness with Him in Heaven, so that we can more fully experience His love for us forever. Our life on earth is also a school where we are supposed to learn lessons and practice living in love. If we don't learn the lessons we have to do them over and over until we can live by them. That is why we sometimes have to have the same trouble over and over again, so that finally with enough negative consequences, we are motivated to do what God tells us to do in His book.

If you read the Bible and try to put into practice what God tells us to do there, you will not only know for yourself what life on earth is for, you will develope a personal relationship with God and have a life more exciting and fulfilling than you can immagine.

We are creatures of Spirit who come here to learn important lessons that can only be learned here on Earth. We choose when to come and we come with friends (who turn out to be our parents, friends, children, spouses, etc.) and we choose our circumstances to teach us the specific lessons we want to learn. We are here for education.

Peace!

We are here to challenge our free agency. We choose if we want to follow Heavenly Father's plan or Satan's plan. When we pass on then we are judged on how we lived.
