I know that God lets Satan test you. These test allow you to grow spiritually. Once you conquer a test a blessing is given to as a reward but the tests never stop. There are only breaks in between. The test could be as small as teaching you to control your temper or as big as making sure that you have learned to praise God through any circumstance good or bad. Realize the tests and pass them so that you are able to live an abundant life filled with happiness.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I think God made everything. We and Satan are given the free will or choices to do what we will. Everything that is made has an opposite - good, bad - up,down - north, south - right, wrong. Surprises are the result of our choices.

God has a "plan" for us and I believe we are shown the right way and at times we need a SUPRISE to make us stand back and look at a situation.
Satan merely sits there and waits for an opportunity for us to be unsure and not TRUST in God.
When you get one of these SUPRISES, that's when you ASK God to help you make the right choice.(HE already knows, SATAN only hopes you chose HIS way)
Be positive, look for good and God will guide you. And YES, bad things happen for a good reason. Christ died on the cross for us......to live forever.
Satan never did anything for us.....except be defeated DAILY by our trust and joy over God's wonderful suprises.
Peace....and wishing you GOOD suprises.

God is Satan. He throws surprises at you to entertain himself. You only exist for his amusement. Whether you feel happy or unhappy is of no concern to him.

Satan assuredly does. God is big on self-determination. I suspect he tolerates Satan's existence because he challenges us and makes us choose sides.

I don't believe in Satan. We make our own good and bad times for ourselves. I feel that I can much worse to myself than SATAN can EVER do to me! Sometimes, I can b my own worst enemy.

a individual can no longer "worship devil w/o determining it; they could in ordinary terms worship their theory of God or Divinity in the way terrific appropriate to them. after all, "devil" is a medieval Christian invention. illiberal, judgemental, and paranoid human beings only decide to show palms at human beings and tell them that their perception structures are invalid and diabolic or "Satanic." this form of thinking easily resulted in the torture and deaths of tens of hundreds of folk (scientists, philosophers, individuals healers, and individuals who have been unlliked by way of their relatives and pals ) for the duration of Europe between approximately years 1200 and 1700. the overpowering majority of folk who have been killed pointed out themselves as Christians yet their fellow Christians theory in any different case and tortured and killed them. Now the non secular and cultural variety is the norm and is risk-free by way of regulation, particular Christians are back freaking out with regard to the ideals and customs of folk who're diverse from them and are nevertheless calling for blood.
