Many people who answered my previous question ask me to provide additional info so I am going to state the question again with a link on the bottom for reference.*

When Jesus died on the cross it is stated that the ground opened and all the dead who died while Jesus was alive rose from the dead and walked among the living for three days in view of everyone and than were taking up to heaven.
Hence why he has followers 2000 years later.
The Bible also calls for the second coming of Jesus accompanied by the second resurrection.
Is this a common belief and if not why not?

*"“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his [Jesus’] resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, ‘Truly this was the Son of God.’”

noice: My Muslim friend told me that they don't believe Jesus rose from the dead (resurrection) but that the whole event was a fake. Personally; I studied into Roman history and Roman historians have written about Jesus Christ's existence. A further study of Roman history will show that when they [Romans] cruxified a person - they were DEAD before the bodies were allowed to leave the cross he or she was nailed to. In Jesus's case, He was dead alright and a Roman guard unit was placed outside the heavy stone cover which was sealed with a wax signet, and pushed into place by a few locals. The guard unit did just that - they guarded the shut tomb with their lives. If they [Roman guards] were caught asleep, they were killed. Jesus couldn't pull a "fast one". I disagree with you about the part, that the resurrected dead were resurrected while He was alive.Christ was dead then, the ground opened up and the dead were resurrected. Neither did these resurrected dead were "taken up to heaven", as you stated. It is not in the New Testament. Muslims follow the Quran; whereas, Christains the Holy Bible. Mohammed is dead in the grave. Jesus Christ is alive, at His Father's Right Hand side. Take heart ... ALL people ever born will be given a chance to accept Christ's atoning sacrifice. Most later at His Return to Earth. The resurrection is the thing. We will all win in the end - all people, nations and those ever, born of flesh.

Now lets be real. The bible has been edited far too many times and most of those stories could have been exaggerated, this is the main reason why Muslims do not take the information mentioned in the bible seriously, EVEN THO they believe Jesus Christ was a true messenger of Allah and he was one of the major messengers who were given a book. as for the second coming of Jesus, there are numerous ahadeeth about it, and that since God does not mention the word 'dead' when speaking of Jesus. God merely uses a word in arabic that could be translated as 'ASCENDED' or 'RISEN' in english. If you wish to know what the Quran reveals on Jesus Christ click on the academic link of islamic texts and do a Quran Search. Peace

Yes.
Jesus was born as a pure son to a pure mother. He taught the message of GOD (Monotheism) to the people. He was taken to Heaven and he will return before the Last Day.

Muslims believe the return of Jesus to the earth is a sign that the Day of Judgment is near.

Muslims believe that there is yet a holy one to come and then the end of the world will come, but they aren't expecting it to be Jesus. By the time they realize that it IS Jesus, it will be too late for them.

Through the documentation of many great historians of that era, it is documented that Jesus did in fact live on this earth. Many of these historians became followers of Jesus and many were not. The question for mankind ever since has been - is Jesus who he said he was? Personally I believe that he was and is. People of other faiths, even those who recognize his existence as a prophet or teacher, chose to follow someone as their redeemer. But whether anyone chooses to follow Mohammed, Buddha, Jesus, or whomever, the only one who could raise himself up from his grave was Jesus. And only the true Messiah could do that. If you visit their gravesights, you will find their bodily remains, but if you visit the gravesight of Jesus you will find an empty grave. Personally, I choose to follow by faith the One who concquered death rather than someone who is still in the grave. and for this reason, I look to the coming of the Holy One to be none other than Jesus.

Yes, Muslims do believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet. He will save all of us from Dajjal (anti-Christ). Muhammad, Islam's Prophet, believed Jesus was sent by Allah to be the Messiah, miraculously born of the Virgin Mary, who brought the Gospel, who died, was raised from the dead, then ascended into heaven to be with Allah. Jesus would become an everlasting blessing to all mankind!
