You just realize it isn't growing and you've come to a stopping point... Tell the other person what the reasons are you don't feel like it is going anywhere. If they listen and try to change, you may have a shot at something wonderful.

If they don't, shut it down. Turn off the lights, lock and bar the doors. It's out of business. No more. Shut down.

Better to just walk away after you've told them than to just walk away. You can say, "You gave it every shot." I wish someone had told me a couple of years ago. Live and learn.

If that person makes you feel like nothing then I would think it shouldn't be that hard to leave. Some people mistake love for comfort, you have been with this person for 4 yrs so you are comfortable with them. I'm sure you so love this person but you also need to think of yourself, would you rather stay and feel like crap because you are comfortable or would you rather be happy and comfortable with someone else. No one can really tell you how to leave it's either you choose peace of mind and happiness or hell and comfort think of it that way.

If you have confronted this person with your true feelings of how they belittle you and you both really love each other then maybe try some kind of couples counseling. 4 years is a long time and shouldn't be taken lightly. However if you can't get this resolved soon then I wouldn't put up with it if I were you. It's just not worth being miserable. Good Luck.

It's not easy but when you've had enough and they've ground you down to nothing, you've got nothing to lose except the rest of your life! Been there. Don't let them take you down any farther. State your case...that they make you feel like crap etc. and walk away, let it go. You'll go through a "down" time but seek other friends, hobbies, things to do. Take care of yourself, find yourself again, recreate yourself if necessary. Life is to be lived-happily not miserably. Wish you well.

Tell him that. But why stay with someone that makes you feel that way. Look for a resolution but do not degrade who you are in your heart for someone that does not care about you or how they make you feel. Love they self first and love everyone else the way you expect to be loved. You will only rise to the standards you set for you.

YOU JUST SAY TO YOUR SELF, I NEED TO FEEL LOVE AND
APPRECIATE AND SINCE YOU DONT GIVE ME THAT, IT
TIME TO LEAVE THIS ALONG. I KNOW THAT IT WILL BE HARD
TO LEAVE SOMEONE THAT YOU LOVE WHO YOU BEEN WITH FOR SOME TIME. BUT IF YOU CONTINUE THIS PATH
THEN IT WILL BE THE SAME OUTCOME. TAKE IT ONE DAY
AT A TIME. ONE STEP AT A TIME. BUT NOW IT TIME TO
FACE THE NEW JOURNEY. IT WILL GET BETTER AS TIME
GO BY. BUT YOU NEED TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE.

simplely tell the someone that they make u feel like nothing but u love them and dont want to have to leave them but they make u feel like nothing so ur leaving them for someone that will show u that u mean something. I mean i know how that feels my ex boyfriend left me for another girl after cheating on me for 8 months and then after cheating on me that long he decided he was going to break up with me adn to tell u the truth i cried for 2 days after he did but then after i fond someone better than him i realize that he wasnt worth my time dating him and i was with him for 2 years and 3 months and he made me feel like i was nothing to him too and so i was glad that he broke up with me and now i have some one that makes me feel like i am someone and its a really good feeling inside when u have someone that makes u feel like someone important in their life so if i was u i would tell that someone that makes u feel like nothing that he makes u feel like that and that u want someone that will make u feel like someone important in their life instead of making u feel like nothing i mean thats what i would tell someone that made me feel like that i hope this helps u a lil or a lot and hope everything goes good for u

If YOU love him you should talk to him about it. If he really loves yuo he'll instantly try to make it better and will work hard to change his problem. If he doesn't (or gives you a lame excuse like "i'm just like that" or "accept me like i am") he doesn't love you and is not worth the clothes he has on.
