John 14:28. He admitted that he is inferior to his father.
1Corintians 11:3 , which was written after Christ ascended to heaven, says that God is supereme over Christ ( Today's English Bible 1966 Catholic Edition)
John 20:17. Christ admitted that he is a mere worshipper of God, his Father.
So, how do you dispute these Biblical citations that indicate that your belief in the Trinity is unbiblical?

Justin: You have been brainwashed either by your pastor, or priest. Try to let the Bible explain itself, and don't inject your belief in it.
To the rest: Read John 1:1. Does the passage mention 3 Gods? Does that passage EXPRESSLY say that they are equal or you are injecting meaning to that Scripture? Does that passage even mention the holy spirit or not?

The World Book Encyclopedia, 1991 edition, under the topic Plato, said that this Greek and pagan Philosopher influenced greatly the Trinitarian concept of Augustine. If you know Augustine, he is one of the more prominent Catholic theologians. Check your enclopedias, or check this fact with your pastors or priests.

Read John 10:20-35 ( not just John 10:30). When Jesus said that I and the father are one he was referring to the works he was doing that his Father sent him to do. Do not try to interpret this verse in isolation. Ask the writer John. In John 17:22 you will know more of the meaning , or get the sense of how Jesus, his Father, and his disciples are one. ( hen in Greek).

It is amazing that when confronted with Bible evidence, some people will still hold on to the unscriptural belief that Jesus and his Father are equal. With all the reference books in existence on the trinity, people should be aware that the trinitarian belief did not become "Christian" until over 300 years after the Bible had been completed. Ever since then, trinitarians do their best to make the Bible appear to support their warped view of God.
God's Word the Bible is harmonious throughout. If the trinity is true, then the Bible contradicts itself. For example, at John 14:28, Jesus said "the Father is greater than I am", right? So then, how can trinitarians use another Bible verse to prove their view that Jesus and his Father are equal without contradicting Jesus' statement that he is inferior to his Father? How can trinitarians harmonize their belief that Jesus is God with Jesus' statement at John 20:17 where Jesus said that he was a worshiper of God? How can trinitarians claim Jesus is God without contradicting 1Cor.11:3 where it says that the head of the Christ is God?
The trinity is not a Biblical teaching.

The fact that in Trinitarian theology, The Father IS NOT the Son, and they have different relationships within the Godhead. The Father is not the Son , but is the same "essence" as the Son (greek word OUSIA). The same with the holy spirit. The Father is the progenerator of the Son. The Son comes from the Father. But also think of "En arche en ha logos...kai theos en ho logos" and the word was God (not ho theos , but theos, denoting the divinity yet difference between jesus and the Father)....Also...Jesus , in JOhn, uses the saying EGO EIMI 10 times, a few times by itself, e..g Before Abraham was , I AM. That I is emphatic and not necessary, thus it's used by John to connote the use of the divine name in reference to himself, thus why the jews try to stone Jesus after having said , I AM

For the purpose of a response and if you truly want an answer and are willing to accept truth if given or offered, then read carefully and have anopen heart & mind.
When those "citations" are quoted, they are being quoted as a single verse; without using cross reference to understand the full meaning of any individual mesages or citations. Jesus was equal wit hthe other 2 personalities that make up the total GOD head befofe the foundation of the world... the three convened; had a meeting so to speak because they were about to create humanity; they forsaw the fall of humanity through Adam & Eve... created a salvation plan and at that point in the salvation plan... (before creating planet earth yet) they all chose which position or role they will play in this plan of salvation.. so yes, when Jesus as a man speaks and days God is his father and his God.. that is not a contradiction but a deep truth revealing that one of the three God "personalities so to speak was playing the part of humbling himself for humanities salvation.. os instead of questioing with good digligent research.. softhen your heart, pray and ask GOD, i"if you are real, then GOD please show me what I must do or speak to me in a way that I can identify and know that it is you responding"
God Bless

Exactly the reason why a lot of Christians are looking for a religion practising the belief in UNITY (Oneness) of God as originally done by the first human Adam, then promoted again by Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, David etc. And suddenly with Jesus why would ONE God become three-in-one?
Logical answer is look for what Jesus himself taught and believed in. He states in the Bible "Worship MY Lord and YOUR Lord", referring to the ONE TRUE God! And Jesus never commanded his followers to worship himself(Jesus) only as their true God because he acknowledged the ONE TRUE God Almighty, who created Jesus atleast with a mother but the same ONE TRUE God also created Adam from clay without a mother or father and breathed into him the ONE soul from which all the humanity was created!!
Further proof of UNITY of God can be noted in the scripture revealed to Prophet of God who came after Jesus i.e. Prophet Mohammed who was given the Holy Quran (just like Torah to Moses, Psalms to David, Gospel to Jesus etc) re-establishing the Unity of God, in the true Abrahaminic tradition. Holy Quran has chapters named after The Last Supper; Mary, the mother of Jesus (the only woman mentioned by name and given the title of the Holiest woman ever!), and many details and references to Moses and all the Prophets of the Old Testament!
And why is the Judgment day so called if there is NO judging of all the humanity? And if "no son shall bear the burden of his father" then how can Jesus be expected to bear the burden of all the billions of Christians who are for the lack of better word, conveniently excused from the judgment?? Something to ponder about.

Read Genesis 1 (note: see how many times God refers to Himself as "us"). Read also John 1 (note: Jesus is the Word).
John 10:30

JESUS never claimed to be God. Everything he said about himself indicates that he did not consider himself equal to God in any way-not in power, not in knowledge, not in age.
In every period of his existence, whether in heaven or on earth, his speech and conduct reflect subordination to God. God is always the superior, Jesus the lesser one who was created by God. There are quite a few Scriptures other than the ones you quoted that go against the trinity that are also being ignored by trinitarians,The Trinity, is not a Bible teaching it iMan's teaching therefore those who go along with it are actualy going against the Bible and teaching a lie!

Quit using a Catholic Bible and get a real one like the New American Standard.
Can you dispute the fact that Jesus said "I and the Father are one."
"If you have seen me you have seen the Father."
"In the beginning was God, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
CAN YOU ????
NO!!!!!!
I DID NOT THINK SO!!
Shut up and go study before you hurt yourself.

The Bible says lots of things in lots of different ways.
You simply fail to understand what is clear to just about everyone else.
A term need not be literally mentioned and defined in scripture to be biblical.

Not disputing... you are absolutely correct... I am a Deist... Every thing else is exactly what causes all the problems in the world now and in the past... Believe ONLY in your God or Supreme Being and let all of man's religious farces go away. If they can't be all correct they are probably mostly wrong!

I agree with you 100 percent. I know others will still dispute it, but I'm glad that you can think for yourself. Most people that believe in the Trinity were taught the idea from their church, they didn't do any self-study or research themselves. That's why I don't belong to one of these powerhouse churches because they actually frown upon you looking and reading at the bible and coming to your own conclusions. Bravo!
