Your talking about sustaining a stable worm whole through space. I. E. Folding space, the amount of power required to do something of that magnitude would require use to harness the power of dark matter or clod fusion Cubed. neither of witch are even remotely possible right now. Not to include if we could harness these powers we would probably turn it in to a weapon before we did something good with it. So the answer to your question is simple NOT IN OUR LIFE TIME!

The fastest theoretical speed is LESS than 299 792 458 meters / second. Because nothing can theoretically go faster than light.
I do not think that Stephen Hawking will bend space and time himself though. significant spacetime bending is made by larger objects (like the Earth), so maybe we would use other object's spacetime bending ability to help us explore further.

No, Hawking is too ill. Hawking has survived ALS for about 25 years past they time he was expected to die.
Also, he is embroiled in another divorce.
Think it is time for the next generation to tackle solving the mysteries of time travel/space travel.

I saw on a site today that he wanted a divorce. His wife wasn't doing his treatments properly or some such.
